Back to the future

Posted Jan 19, 2015
The hotel is a retro throw back from metal keys to small double beds. The staff were nice and helpful but all in all it was a far stretch from what you expect. Great location and nice breakfast but I don't think I'll be coming back

ベイジングストークでリーゾナブルで便利なホテルをお探しの方はどうぞ

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: ロケーションが便利なことと、リーゾナブルな点。
Cons: 設備、食事、サービス。
比較的リーゾナブルで駅、商店街、モールにも近いので便利。ただ、部屋やサービスはそこそこ。私は選択頼んだら、間違えて女性の下着が届きました。タクシー呼んでもなかなか来ない。

Had a very nice experience staying at this hotel, very much near to the festival mall. Everything is reachable at walkable distance.

Handy for the theatre

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Pros: The price
Location: The location is good for the shops and the Anvil theatre.
Had a good night in hotel. Stayed here several times now. They had a wedding celebration in hotel but we were on the 3rd floor so no problem there. We did hear a lot of people shouting out in the street as it was a Friday night and there are a few bars in the vicinity, but the hotel did warn us about this.

Sat night stay

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: location, free parking, good powerful shower. Nice and clean room and toilet. room was warm and quiet.
Location: Festival place next door. Plenty of shops and eating places nearby.
The free parking and convenient location was an attraction. I booked over internet day before and checking in was easy. The room was good size double and I found it to be clean and surprisingly quiet for a Sat night. I got good night sleep and a great shower in the morning.

Lovely clean hotel - beware the noisy public house

Posted Oct 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed over for the night of Saturday 25th October as we were in Basingstoke for a 30th Birthday party of the daughter of friends. Hotel was very clean and room a good size. Coffee & Tea making facilities included biscuits, always a plus for my husband! Reasonable self service breakfast with fruit juices, cereals, yoghurt and full English. The only negative about this hotel is the unfortunate position of a pub/nightclub behind the hotel. We were in room 63 and may as well have been in the pub with the noise! Very loud music and crowds of people on the pavement chatting/shouting/singing until the very early hours of Sunday morning. We would have requested a room the other side of the hotel had we realised about the noisy pub. We mentioned this when checking out to be told that we would have received an email mentioning the noise had we booked directly with the hotel but as we had gone through a travel company this had

Very comfortable

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: Great location, nice staff
Cons: The front desk staff knowing the way to the airports, by train, taxi or bus, costs and times. Cafe staff listening to a coffee request.
Location: Spent time with family, so nothing to add.
The Red Lion is comfortable and basic. The room and it's amenities were great. Nothing fancy, but if that is what you are looking for it is just great.

Value for money and convenient hotel

Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: It was great value for money. Clean rooms and staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: Some paint needed here and there. Reception area in particular looks very down-at-heel
Location: Very close to shopping mall and train station on foot
Booked this hotel as it was a convenient place to stay while visiting my daughter. Room was small but very comfortable and very clean. Overall, though, the place needs a bit of TLC and modernizing- It's a long time since I've seen rooms opened with an actual key! It all looks a bit tired and jaded. Reception in particular could do with updating ( starting with a coat of paint!) and though the staff were lovely and very helpful, they would look better in some sort of uniform( a nice blouse or coloured waistcoat?)

Prima

Hotel als tussenstop gebruikt. Daar was het prima voor geschikt. Het zit midden in de stad met genoeg pubs in de buurt. Kamer was klein, maar schoon.
