“Good value, nothing exceptional or adverse”

This hotel is well situated for Lymington. Comfortable with pleasant staff. Typical 3 star hotel with adequate parking. Standard rooms are good quality and restaurant serves everyday wholesome food although the portions are on the small side. Some excellent deals for off peak are available.

“Nice country house hotel convenient for new forest”

Visited February 2010 and found the hotel clean, tidy and the staff friendly and helpful. room was clean and tidy with good facilities but he beds (twin) were not the most comfortable. One had a bit of a sag in the matress so could do with being replaced. Breakfast was very good value, with a choice of cereals, juices and fruit followed by a full english with tea, coffee and toast.

“Incredible value for money - highly recommended”

Although my husband and I only used this hotel for an overnight stay (going to a friend's party in Lymington town centre), we'll definitely stay there again. The price was really reasonable to start with, but considering breakfast was included as standard it made it super-reasonable for the quality of the hotel! The room was absolutely enormous, with masses of wardrobe and storage space and a big sofa. The decor was lovely - very modern hotel chic - and the room and bathroom clean and fresh (with twin sinks). Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was just right (my husband had a cooked breakfast, although it was wasn't a huge plate of food he thought it was better than a plate overflowing with a greasy fryup). Can't comment on the location really as we didn't stay for long, but the grounds were lovely. The only small gripe we had, was that the (fixed) shower head was far too low, even for a female of average height, and very dribbly rather than a spray. Plus (although this doesn't bother me at all) the TV was far too small for the room. It was barely a 19" I think, and watching it in bed in such a huge room was a bit of a strain! Didn't do anything to spoil the stay though. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel... if you're bothered by a small TV or need to wash your hair I'd maybe enquire in advance!

“People are dying to stay here - they must be!”

Staying at this hotel was like going back in time! And that was probably when it was last decorated! Very dated, bar only open from 18:00 to 21:00, and you had to hunt down the barman when it was open! Really tiny TV's in rooms. Someone needs to get a grip on this hotel and bring it in to the 20th cenrury.
