Room 1 Couldn't stand fully upright in the shower! Seal around the bath/shower was dirty & black! Wall tile fallen off! Needs complete refurb.

Slightly disappointedPosted Aug 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
I stayed here with a friend recently. The room was fine, with nice bed linen and towels provided. The breakfast menu was fairly extensive, although the use of a generic menu meant that not everything was on offer 'in our region'. The staff were friendly, but showed lack of initiative when asked for local information, such as bus times. Most disappointing was the lack of the 5 acres of gardens mentioned on the website. There's a patio, a large lawn and a car park, but not the large grounds we were led to believe were there.

Old and sad decor thoughoutPosted Aug 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is in a lovely location and looks very nice from the outside but inside the decor and furniture is all very old and sad looking. I was not impressed with the cleanliness either my daughter found the toilet unflushed. The tv remote was very dusty, There was a hair on top of the cistern. There was a hair draped across the butter dish at breakfast. I think the staff were mostly too old and miserable, the younger staff were a little more vibrant. I wouldn't stay there again.

quiet locationPosted Aug 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Perfectly adequate hotel with nice size clean room. (many rooms on ground floor). Set in nice gardens. Quite a distance to walk into the village, took us about 20/25 mins.

Good country hotelPosted May 13, 2013
Pros: Quietness and outstandingly friendly staff
Cons: No wi-fi
A good small country hotel. Rather small but very pleasant. Plenty of car parking and handy to attractions in the area. Very quiet. Only drawback is that the hotle does not have wi-fi.
