Top NotchPosted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Everything, superb.
Location: Near to everything, shops, new forest, walks, pubs and eateries, a perfect base.
A terrific place to stay, so close to everything. The staff were very helpful and very polite. The hotel its self was amazing, it was great to go and sit in the library and have a night cap. Would stay here again without a doubt.

Comfortable hotel in centre of LyndhurstPosted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Nice decor, great food, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable quiet bedrooms.
Location: A stone's throw from the centre of Lyndhurst, the village is a great launch pad for walking in the forest. Good pubs too.
I wanted to treat myself to a couple of nights away from it all in one of my favourite parts of the country and the Crown Manor House Hotel turned out to be perfect. It's comfortable, quiet and the ideal place to relax. The food is excellent and the staff were all friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and spacious and though it looked out onto the main street, it had soundproof double glazing and also air conditioning (it was a hot week). As it's a short walk from the centre of Lyndhurst, it's ideal as a base to go walking in the forest or to visit the shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants in the village. I'd definitely stay at the Crown Manor again.

Central hotel, with free car park.Posted Jul 4, 2014
Receptionists cheerful and helpful. Evening meal wide choice, only difficulty was slow service, but they apologised, as a problem in the kitchen. Our room was comfortable and quiet,as it overlooked the garden. Rooms at the front would be noisy as constant traffic past on High Street. A notice in the room said in hot weather, guests could ask for sheets to replace the duvet, and a fan was provided; nice touches.

Cons: Improve the sound proofing between rooms.
Location: Lyndhurst is a quite town with plenty of tea rooms.
Looking at the picture of the hotel, one would think that the Hotel sits behind a beautiful village green. However, on arrival you soon realise that this photograph is taken from the church graveyard opposite. The hotel is on the busy high street of Lyndhurst. You'll also need to practice your parking skills because the hotel car park is so small, and if busy, getting in and out of it takes some doing! The hotel itself is well furnished and decorated, however the sound proofing between my room (109) and the next was non-existent. Quite honestly, I could hear word for word a conversation that the next room occupants were having due to the fact that our rooms were divided by a plasterboard wall. All in all disappointed considering the £150.00 we paid for the room. However on a positive note, the breakfast is very good!!

Not 4 Star accommodationPosted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: It's location within the new forest.
Cons: Food is good but menu is restricted and lacks imagination. Prices 4 star prices with 3 star accommodation you get a better room in a premier inn.
Staff very good but rooms leave something to be desired. I would not consider the rooms to be large enough or well enough equipped I have stayed in 3 star hotels with better rooms. Rooms at the front of the hotel get a lot of traffic noise from early till late.

Excellent locationPosted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: The staff were very helpful and found us a round table for dinner and breakfast. Two very comfortable lounges. The food was good.
Location: We actually spend a very happy day exploring Exbury Gardens and driving round the lovely countryside.
We had booked 3 double rooms. Arrived early afternoon with four friends. One room did not have much of a view but the hotel quickly exchanged for a different room. It was a convenient place to stay for looking around the New Forest. Easy Parking

Excellent stayPosted Jun 2, 2014
My fiancée and I enjoyed a 1 day break over the weekend at The Crown Manor House Hotel. Our classic double room was a good size, well decorated, very clean and had a lovely modern ensuite. We had a room on the road side but secondary glazing meant it was very quiet. The rest of the hotel was decorated beautifully and was very relaxing to be in. Friendly and helpful staff, as well as a brilliant breakfast included means this hotel deserves top marks. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Loads of ample parking at the rear when you're done exploing the New Forest - all easily accessible from Lyndhurst.

Very nice hotelPosted May 24, 2014
Hotel very nice old world style but with just enough modern features to make the right balance. Bed was a little on the small side but room and bathroom lovely. Breakfast was a little disapointing. Bacon a little undercooked and kept asking for more due to not enough cooked food being put out, they kept running out of eggs, beans hash browns. Overall the cooked breakfast was about 4 out of 10 . Location is nice and large car park at the rear. The hotel is probably the nicest building in the street.
