Staff and Property was excellent, super friendly, couldn’t do enough for you. Only issue was that when we looked up and booked our establishment and room choice, on Expedia’s website, we were offer a buffet Dinner and breakfast on the checkout day. So when we arrived and checked in at reception, we were informed that they do not provide and sort of dinner at all at there establishment. So spent 30 minutes on your virtual chat line talking to an agent, asking why we were mis-sold this half board reservation, only for you to admit that there was an error on your behalf, yet offer no form of compensation, as we then had to go out and get dinner elsewhere, at an additional cost to us ?, After more research the booking didn’t match the e-mail that you sent me as confirmation of our booking. Under the consumer protection regulations, the description on your email confirmation was misleading and due to this review provided, I feel that a contributing refund should be given towards our dinner expenses. Hotel reception were fantastic, and provided us with a free drink as they felt bad, and will be contacting you as well as this was really misleading ?, Awaiting your response ?

The Emsworth Hotel
The hotel is very homely. All of the staff are very friendly, professional and curteous. The room was very clean and warm. The breakfast is so lovely, excellent choice as well. Definitely will stay again, and I would recommend the Emsworth hotel.

Only a night stay, but disappointed with the shower as the drainage was blocked and backed up when showering. The breakfast room is nice but the table for 4 near the dresser causes chaos for people trying to get past. Apart from that it’s a nice place and reasonable value for money.

The stay was good. The one thing that let it down was the tiny towels. It would be nice to have a towel that you can wrap around you.

Refreshing value for money as the B&B provided real quality and attention to detail for the money, which hotel chains just don’t. No payment traps in terms of cancellation incase plans change. Decor is very tasteful and the breakfast is super tasty. Lots of parking spaces. Blooms cafe is very pretty and worth trying for novelty. Will stay again if I am in the area.

I really cannot fault Emsworth B&B. It was lovely and clean; the staff were friendly and helpful; it was calm and quiet; room was clean and cosy; Breakfast options were really good. I would not hesitate to stay there again and thoroughly recommend.

Not what we expected
The room was outdated and small along with the bathroom. the bed was a double we would have been better with twin beds as it dominated the small room. There was a distinctive smoke smell in the room as we were a ground floor room previous guests had the opportunity to smoke with the window opening . It was a warm night so we couldn’t leave windows open for safety reasons the hotel leant us a fan . Breakfast was average in quality and quantity.

Unfortunately i was staying at the same time as a wedding party. The walls to the room are paper thin and everything!!!! Could be heard from the room next door. Both nights my sleep was disturbed. The second night was a loud drunken arguement from one of the rooms and calling out in the corridor in the early hours. The bathroom was very cramped as was the entrance into the room from the door, with poor lighting to see to open too. Overall cleanliness was good apart from a bag of rubbish which had been left on the flat roof outside my bedroom window and crumpled paper behind the bedside. Also my hand towel was taken and not replaced. This left me with just one towel for the second night. The tea tray was very plentiful. Breakfast was very good although the two times i was there my order was forgotten. On the second day i was asked 4 times by different waiting staff if i'd like to order even though i'd already done so. "Blooms" cafe behind was lovely and welcomed, as Emswoth Town Centre is a little distance away if you're not driving. I'm sure on a quieter occasion most of these problems wouldn't occur.

The hotel was very welcoming and homely. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious and cooked well. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The only down side was that with the weather being so hot, even with the window open, sleeping was very difficult as there was no air conditioning or fans.

A wonderful base for Goodwood
The hotel was perfect. Comfortable and homely with a very nice breakfast not to mention a very nice house coffee! We used it as a base for attending Goodwood Members meeting and we cannot recommend it highly enough. We were clearly not the only ones either!

Great hotel
The hotel was very clean, tastefully furnished with plenty of onsite parking. The staff were extremely friendly and the information on eating and drinking venues in the village was a great bonus. An easy 15 minute walk into the village where we were very pleasantly surprised by the choice of pubs, cafes and bars.

We booked the night to save getting up early for the ferry to the Isle of Wight, the hotel was in a quiet area outside the city which suited us perfectly. Generally the Hotel was well presented and there were signs it had been recently been painted in a modern style. The check in was fine and they helpfully recommended local restaurants should be choose to eat out. The included breakfast was very good with locally sourced ingredients and very friendly staff. On the negative side our room was a bit on the small side and could have done with a larger quilt on the bed. Apart from that I would recommend for a stay over but probably not for a longer stay.

Friendly Boutique Hotel
The Emsworth Hotel was a convenient, comfortable, clean and staff-friendly base for our break on the South Coast, and one we would recommend for those seeking to avoid the less personal chain hotels.
