Excellent location, friendly staffPosted Jan 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
I really enjoyed my stay - the location is a nice, classic English village and the hotel was classy without being pretentious. Manager and staff were friendly, room was clean, bed really comfortable, nice shower and bathroom facilities, and breakfast was nice. Felt comfortable, relaxing, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it. Only slight caveat would be that, whilst I paid a discounted price, it looked to me as though the normal price for my single room was quite high- whilst the room itself is nice enough it is small and I'd say that the full price is a little on the high side. But other than that, this was a really nice place to stay.

Nice quiet hotel, very clean and comfy roomPosted Nov 12, 2013
Cons: Bedroom and bathroom windows would not open, it left the room very steamy and stuffy after a shower.
Plenty of parking, staff were very welcoming and warm. The room was nice and comfy. Evening meal was excellent.

Village InnPosted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: Staff very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Room a little small.
Location: Winchester about 5 miles away. Taxis very expensive to/from Winchester. Buses run hourly but none on Sundays. Butcher and post office/newsagent
Stayed 3 nights in this village inn in Hursley. Was attending an event at IBM Hursley and decided to stay and visit Winchester which was about 5 miles away.

Just OkayPosted Aug 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
We only stayed at Kings Head for one night, but it was so extremely loud with the restaurant guests (Friday night) that it was hard to get to sleep. There isn't A/C so we had to keep the windows open. The staff, although very friendly, were so overwhelmed by the bar guests that we had little help or attention. We had to check in at the bar. Not much surrounding the area, but we had a lovely jog in the morning along quiet streets. The breakfast was good and I think during the week it is probably much quieter.

Nice hotelPosted Jul 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Nice hotel we used as a one night stop on our way down to the coast. Friendly staff and cute surroundings (not a lot to see but what's there is nice, but I can imagine rooms facing the road can be a little noisy. We had no such problems. Thanks for a nice place!

Lovely location just outside WinchesterPosted Jul 20, 2013
The rooms are lovely with superb bathrooms with slipper baths and monsoon showers. The restaurant is exceptional with lovely food and service to match. I would recommend the Kings Head to anyone. Excellent value, we hope to return.

Small Room - No Door between toilet and bedroomPosted May 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel and Service very nice. I was given a single room (looked much bigger on website), however i did only book a single, but to give you some idea, the door opened outwards - most hotel rooms doors open inwards, think if this had opened inwards it would have hit the foot of the bed.. I was uncomfortable with not haveing a door between the toilet and the bedroom which where in a very close proximity (bed touching wall where archway was to the toilet). There was also no wardrobe in the room and was expected to hang clothes on hangers on door hooks on the door leading to the corridor. No hairdryer in room either. Staff where very nice and food was good. I was staying for 3 nights so Asked to change room on second morning, but nothing available so moved to a different hotel.

Good Pub-like HotelPosted May 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a comfortable spacious room with free wifi which was good. The hotel bar had a good range of beers at reasonable prices. There was also a good range on the menu.
