Big shame

Pros: No redeeming features on this stay
Cons: The lady who actually told me off for ringing her bell!!!
Location: Fantastic
Reception was unfriendly & not good, rang bell, only to be told, that they didn't like it being rung! Taken to refurbished room, which was pleasing to the eye, but lack of professional finish (eg.loose toilet seat, soap dispenser bracket fitted incorrectly, mirror wrongly sited). Due to wedding function, no restaurant available to paying guests, and as wedding party had full access to the hotel, we actually felt that we were imposing. Noisey room, celebrations continued to after midnight, and noisey guessed audible until 1.30am. Breakfast!!! Staff where were they?? Could hear lots of chatting coming from kitchen. Low quality produce and lack of information re separately cooked non breakfast buffet items. Check-out!! Not once did we get asked how we found our stay or for feed back, just pay up & go. Value for money 1 out of 10. The big shame about our stay, was that we enjoyed a lovely meal at this hotel Oct'11, and on that basis returned to enjoy a quiet weekend break. Sadly something has gone terribly wrong, possibly change of management or maybe all their efforts were on the wedding function. Perhaps the hotel should of closed to non wedding guessed. The first we knoew of the wedding was at check-in!!
