Nice and central for touring.

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: It was centrally positioned to travel out from for both sightseeing and shopping.
Cons: Lamies is unique, to change it would be to spoil its general ambience.
Location: It is close to beaches, historical centres and close to several large shopping Malls.
We spent seven days at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The addition of the restaurant and bar was definitely an added bonus. The continental breakfasts were fresh and varied and the complimentary coffee, tea were always available and hot. The housekeeping staff were also excellent.

Hotel with restaurant included

Looks old but don't let this fool you, this is a nice hotel. A little far from the beach and no ventilation in the bathroom.

Arrived on Sat evening and was greeted by friendly gentleman who took my booking details and directed me to my room. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom likewise. Overall a very enjoyable overnight stay.

Full of character and olde worlde charm

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable and well-furnished room.
Cons: We would have liked in-room coffee-making facilities.
Location: Hampton is beautiful, especially when seen at 7.30 in the morning! We enjoyed a lovely walk along the coastal walkway, with just joggers for company.
Stayed only one night en route from Boston to Bangor. It was an ideal stop-over, as we had been travelling for two days, which included two flights and a certain amount of jet-lag. We were given a warm welcome and found our room to be charming, comfortable and quiet.

We had no idea of what to expect from lamies. I found a good deal for a few days here, so I booked it based on the photos. Once we arrived, just seeing how beautiful the building was outside, we couldn't wait to check in. We had the best service at lamies. Breakfast was provided for free and it was plenty of choices not just pastries.

Like visiting family!

I really enjoyed my stay here and found this to be a truly charming and comfortable place to feel at home. The details make this a very old fashioned, homey place to stay, and the room was spotless every day. The service was great and I came in pretty late in the evening and still was met by a friendly and welcoming face. I did miss some of the more modern comforts like an elevator for my luggage, and the room was pretty narrow. Still, this place made me nostalgic for visiting my grandma's house, in all of the best ways.

Quaint for 2

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is an older building, so the condition is as expected - in good repair and well maintained but no amenities that may be found in a newer building. Overall, a sweet place that has some history. It was perfect for a short trip to celebrate our anniversary.
