The hostess was extremely nice but the hotel itself needed some work.

“Good value”

Older style hotel with door opening directly to outdoors and parking is limited, but the room was very clean, with comfortable beds, updated bathroom. Exterior and breakfast area in the process of being renovated. Breakfast was OK.....equal to other, more expensive, places. Located at a busy intersection, but had no problem with noise, as we were in back. (A church parking lot backs the hotel.) No real complaint, but as a woman alone, since the doors opened directly outside, I felt safer by asking another lady from the seminar I was attending to share the room. Overall, for the rate I paid, it was an excellent value. If you are on a budget and just need a clean place to stay, I thought it was fine.

“A good hotel to stay in Hannibal”

The hotel is at the cross section of state highway 61 and 36, it is a very convenient location. It is only a walking distance to many restaurants and YMCA. A baptist church is its neighbor. The inside of the hotel looks better that we had originally expected. It has microwave and refrigerator, make it easy to cook some simple food and for food storage. It is 10 minutes from the downtown and 20 minutes away from the Mark Twain Cave. I would stay in this hotel again next time.

“OK Hotel, But Not Good Enough for the Money”

This hotel is lacking in the service area. I was awoken at 0900 on a Saturday morning for maid service. I'm on vacation I don't want to be woken up at 0900. So I'm up, tell the maid service to please come back after 1000. I shower, and leave the hotel to tour around the quaint town of Hannibal, MO. Come back to the hotel at 1930 and my room is exactly as I left it. Wet dirty towels in the bathroom, beds unmade and the trash not taken out. Customer service is not a priority in this hotel. On the plus side, if you don't mind no maid service. The rooms are spacious, and the shower worked very well. My room did not have a microwave or mini fridge, which I was expecting by reading other reviews on this hotel. I will not go back to this hotel BUT I will return to Hannibal, MO.
