“A truely Great hotel Experience”

I had forgotten how good The Starwood group are, and my recent stay at the Sheraton has reminded me to use them more regularly, the hotel was superb, cool room, great bar, a huge independent ajoining gym, free to hotel guests, with modern equipment, sauna etc. But as always it is the staff that makes the experience great, and all my interactions with staff were faultless, even to the point of the receptionist giving me a bottle of water unprompted when they saw me returning from a run in the forest which is directly opposite the hotel. 10/10

“GREAT DESIGN HOTEL”

Superb hotel in a former pencil factory, so rooms have high ceilings and they have apt designs. huge choice at breakfast and great value rates in the summer. With euro coins you can buy a day ticket at nearby tram/subway stop and you are in centre in a few minutes. Hotel has famous 12 Apostel pizzeria..much nicer than one in Berlin. Great cocktail bar in hotel complex. I loved it

“A Gem with some room for improvement”

I always wanted to stay at this hotel, after living in town for 8 years (which by now is almost 8 years ago as well). We used to hit the bar called Harrys New York Bar, which is attached to the hotel, on an almost nightly basis for its cool crowd, awesome music and atmosphere and great cocktails. The latter is still there, the rest pretty much gone. After telling my girl friend all about the glorious past, its been a bit disappointing to see the change towards bad live piano music with worse singing, and a crowd that was about 20 years older in average then us. Ah well, but this is more about the hotel itself, so lets move on. Reception was nice and friendly, just as you expect. One thing which we missed, because we had quite some luggage was a bell boy, which apparently was not available at all. This strikes me as odd, given the category and price range of this hotel and should be improved. The room we got was reasonably sized and looking out into a nice green quiet street on the back. Interior is stylish, modern, whereas you realize that its been a couple of years since this hotel was built. The main light in the room is neon which is horrible, even though its hidden behind a translucent ceiling. The only other light in the room on the table was neon as well, painful in the evening or morning. this really should be changed/updated. Bathroom is nice, very space efficient, extremely clean. The price we got through Expedia was very reasonable for this hotel.

“Didn't sleep well”

The hotel was nice and the room looked very nice with a modern layout in a remodeled old pen factory. The mattress on the bed had a plastic lining that made it very uncomfortable for sleeping. It was a little better when I put a bath towel under the bottom sheet, but all in all, very sleepless while there.

“Business Only...”

Travelling around Hannover is never easy, however to find this place is an art! Be warned that it is set back from the main road and that it is in the Business quater of the City. With this in mind the hotel is very mush biased towards the working environment and therefore, whilst it has very contemporary business facilities, internet and conference rooms, i found the hotel to be lacking 'Soul' for a holiday trip. The location of the Hotel is ideal for access to the Hanover Zoo and also a huge park nearby (More like a UK Forest). this is lovely for walks and the like. Other then that you will have to travel into town for any nightlife, as the area lacks this indeed. Overall: good for work...unexciting for pleasure.
