This hotel was closed down when we arrived even though i paid in full for three nights. There was a note on the door to try another hotel but it was full. It was midnight by the time my young son and i were able to find another hotel and pay.

When we arrived at Hanoi, we found out this hotel have notice: as fellow : If you have reservation already , please move to Hanoi Elpis Central Hotel. this is terrible!!!!!!!!!!! I made a complaint to Hotel.com already and is waiting for your CEO apologize letter to me, If I feel not satisfy your company apologize letter, I will told my story on the YOUTUBE and compplaint to Hong Kong Government department.............................
Located in Old Quarter and near the lake. Clean and spacious room. Great breakfast. Do book the balcony rooms for the view. Very near the airport-bus stops.
Staff was very helpful and super friendly. I booked a tour to Halong Bay and it was as described and better than any other tour boat. I also forgot and left a small bag in taxi and I didnt have a way to contact the driver. (It seemed impossible to get to the driver.) The staff called and hunted down the taxi driver and eventually got the bag for me.
Beds were big size and morning breakfast was good.
However, we stayed there for one night and left there next day although we had paid for two nights. The bathroom smells like swer is open. Bed sheets feels like it wasnt washed for long. A lot of mosquitos were in the room biting all night. The elevator was very small. The stairway was smelly.
Sorry to say for friendly staffs but it seriously needs renovation and cleaning service and new carpet for stairs.
Staff were very friendly, breakfast was great, bus to the airport stops outside which was handy, was able to walk to where we wanted to go, nice spacious room, only downside was the bed was a bit uncomfortable.
Over all the hotel is good except the elevator. It is too small and slow.

The staff is amazing. Very kind and helpful but that is about it!!!
The facility is no place to stay!!
I had the large room that they call the Honeymoon suite. Really? Two double beds put together with mattress that are no more than fome super soft that your back hurts and you can not get a good night sleep.
I changed 3 room till I am in something that is barbell no more.
Sinks have cracks in them . The shower in two of the rooms I stayed in did not function well and where never fixed even though I reported it more than once.
For me it is not a place I will go back to.
Staff was fantastic. Very old elevator that you can barely fit in, but, that was only drawback. Very good breakfast, great a/c and wifi is fast. Within 10 minutes of Hoan Kiem lake.
Nice hotel near the lake. Spacious room. I slept well every night. I found that room rates are on the cheaper side, for the location and quality of the accomodation. This hotel is my first choice when visiting Hanoi.
Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. The room however, wasn't as fantastic as i expected it to be. The location of the hotel is convenient to explore the Old Quarters area and the weekend market.
Great western style beds but Asian style bathroom.
The beds were heavenly and we would stay there again just for the beds. It’s an old hotel and they have retrofitted a lot of things to make it more comfortable and convenient with respect to “western” standards. However I still hated the bathroom. The website doesn’t tell you what kind of a bathroom you are going to get with what kind of bedroom and the pictures show all of the bathrooms. In our room, the shower is before you get to the toilet so of course you are always on a wet floor which even though I live in Vietnam I still find disgusting. But otherwise the place was wonderful. It was old but very nice. Like I said, the beds were incredible which is what matters. The staff were also super excellent.
Excellent location, value, staff and room comfort & cleanliness. The freshly prepared breakfast at the top floor was great too. There are many good local and tourist restaurants nearby.

Good
The room is quite simple. Staff were extremely friendly, location is nice. Wifi connection is nice.
We had a very nice stay in this hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. Location is perfect and you can walk to many of the city attractions. Room is comfortable and spacious enough. Bus to the airport stops right in front of the hotel. Do not expect too much luxury, but it is very good if you want a pleasant stay with a good price. The only thing I would ask the hotel staff is to provide more toiletries such as shampoo, or bring your own.
Great hotel less than 10 minutes from city centre. Daisy who runs the hotel has a great team in place that are happy to help and are interested in making sure you have the best experience possible. I would like to thank Mandy, Chris , Han and Khai for ensuring I had a fantastic holiday.
Asia Palace Hotel is about 5 minutes walk to the lake, and just opposite the airport bus stop. The Honeymoon suite was spacious and comfortable, and clean too. Air-conditioning worked well, as did the water heater and TV with cable channels. All staff were friendly. Breakfast was good; in addition to your breakfast choice which will be prepared on the spot, there is also a small buffet section. I will stay here again.

Reasonable choice for a short stay in Hanoi
Better than average budget hotel with a decent breakfast and friendly staff. It does have an elevator, although it's an older design with manual gate, but the room they gave me on the top floor next to the breakfast area was comfortable with good TV/bed/AC/bathroom. Overall a reasonable choice for a short stay in Hanoi.

Great location...
Old narrow building with rooms facing the street or facing the back. Not sure we were fortunate to face the back as the front faces a very busy street which is always busy and noisy. Elevator is small and fits two passengers with luggage. On our second day someone broke the elevator by trying to pry the louver doors open so walking up and down the stairs was a real workout. Wifi was a challenge - it appears that one of the last guests reset the wireless router and changed the password for their own use. Needless to say the choice was to sit on the top floor to get a good signal or in the lobby. Major problems are noise and heat in Hanoi - and this hotel has both. On the plus, the hotel is responsive and breakfast was good. Location is great for walking and the airport express bus stop is right across the road.
Good location. Near bus stop to airport. Near lake, large supermarket & pharmacy. Comfortable room and bed. Air-con worked well. Friendly staff. And all these for good price! This hotel is my first choice in Hanoi, stayed here twice already and will stay here again in future. Asia Palace Hotel (Hanoi) - Cheers!
This hotel was a very positive experience for me. The room was very clean, althought a bit old but I was happy with the price I paid for. The staff very helpful and friendly. We thought the service was excellent.
The staff went out of their way to make sure that we and our children had a great time. The breakfast ladies were especially warm and friendly. Thank you all
The hotel is located very near the bus stops to and from the airport - 23 Hang Be, and 162 TQK respectively. My honeymoon suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the balcony and large king bed. There is a kettle and minibar in the room, and flatscreen TV with cable channels. Hot water in bathroom was reliable. Breakfast was okay and acceptable. I just didn't like the noises the lift made. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at Asia Palace Hotel. I would stay here again in future.
Place was well located, our room had two massive beds which was great! The door was very small and had to bend down to get in, it also had a gap so meant people could hear or see of going to restaurant that was across from it!
Helpful staff decent sized family room with a nice balcony overlooking the street. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly prepared to order and very tasty wifi worked well.
Negatives: Bathroom had an awful drain smell that permeated the room, which we got used to after a few minutes in the room! However bathroom was very clean but was unfinished near one corner of the ceiling. Elevator is really tiny and got stuck at one point.
The best part was the staff. Simon helped direct us around the Old Quarter and put tours together for us. The breakfast was so so. The hard part was there was only one elevator and it didn’t fit much luggage or people in it. Plus it was slow. I raced te elevator up 5 stories and won.

Nice hotel in a prime location within Hanoi old quarter. Building is a bit old so the elevator is small. We ended up using the stairs most days.
Simon can help with all your excursions going out from Hanoi.
Great location close to everything .The breakfast on the 7th floor with beautiful city view . Staff was wonderful, full of information and helpful in booking our trip to Halong Bay and train to Sapa .All of them were friendly and always welcome us with a big smile.
