LOVED this hotel. When I showed up after room service hours, they offered to help me with finding delivery alternatives at similar prices. Very helpful, very nice. I would stay here again in a second.

Boss Hanoi Hotel

Great value hotel, conveniently located for the old town. We had a computer with internet in our room, which was very handy as we were travelling without a computer of our own. Staff spoke excellent english and were very helpful.

Walking distance to Hoan Kiem Lake
Posted Jan 27, 2011
We had 3 rooms. 1 was upgraded to the Boss Suite - top (9th) floor, with large courtyard/balcony. Apartment style (separate bedroom and living room). The other 2 rooms: one was large, with very small balcony. The other was still big in size, but no balcony and not as large as the other room- considering we'd booked & paid for 3 identical room types, the differences between the 2 rooms was confusing? We queried it & were told "oh yes..correct room..fully booked..", which makes me wonder if one of us was upgraded to offset the one who got the lower grade of room & only 1 room was what we booked/paid for. Room on 2nd floor street-side. Major noise from the street at all hours. Made it quite difficult to get much sleep at all. Definitely request a high floor if you stay here. Or take ear plugs. Rooms were large and very nice - however - the mattresses were incredibly hard. This was the case in all 3 rooms, all 5 beds in total. All rooms come with LCD TV that is also a PC. Fantastic for confirming our next travel details, keeping in touch with home etc. Fresh fruit in your room daily - a nice touch, and a different fruit each day. The restaurant is at cellar level, and has a bit of a musty smell to it. The included breakfast spread is good value. Staff are really lovely. Awesome location (5mins walk to Hoan Kiem Lake). Pity about the hard beds and outside noise on lower levels. Despite the concerns/issues, it really was great value for money.

The price for the quality in the service was higher than it should...
Posted Jan 13, 2010
The bedroom of the hotel wasn't clean enough to satisfy my requeriments, I stood in two different bedrooms and in both of them I found hair in the floor of the bathrooms and in the bedroom. They didn't clean the bedrooms as they should. In my opinion the price that I payed per night in the hotel was totally over the price that they should charge for their bedrooms and services, it was overvalued. I traveled for almost one month to countries in the southeast asia in this same trip and I stood in hotels with similar fares per night thaf had better quality in their services. But looking the other hotels around, this one looks like one of the best in that area, and is important to say that the location of it is very good, right next to the water puppets theater and the mainly attractions. If you are going to Hanoi, take care with the motorbikes when crossing the streets!!!.
