Pros: staff
Location: Hoan kiem lake, near train staytion.
I booked 2 rooms and stayed 4 nights, very good value for the price including breakfast which was good. The rooms were cleaned every day and all of the staff were friendly and polite especially MR Jimmy who was very helpful - and a really funny, friendly guy. The location is great too, close to restaurants, and all of the fantastic sights of the Old Quarter ! A good choice for price.I recommended this Hotel for traveller.

Pros: staff & service
Asia star Hotel is in the heart of the city. Acessible to all types of transportation. Outside the hotel you can find, bars, shops for gifts and street foods is in. Sea food hot pot with unlimited noodles 12$ , pecking duck 2$, etc you can find outside the hotel. Receptionist are all polite, courteous and easy to talk to. They arranged all my tours. Send someone to drop me in the airport, free breakfast each day. The room is 15$/day, very affordable, with a professional good manner staff what else could i ask... Definitely i will comeback and stay in that hotel again.

Really good hotel

Posted Dec 12, 2013
Pros: all great
Location: Dong Xuan Market,Hoan Kiem lake
We got off to a shaky start with our room not being ready at 3pm when we arrived, however the staff handled this as best they could and we had a really good 3 night stay here. I think the location is really good as you're right in the old quarter and can immerse yourself in the day to day goings on here. But you're also very close to the street where a lot of backpackers are if you want to go to a backpacker bar etc. I really liked our room (501) as it had a big window and was a good size. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and never tried to sell you anything although they had tours available etc if you wanted. Breakfast was basic but I enjoyed it.Thanks so much staff at air asia star! I think for the price and the helpfulness alone this is an excellent choice.

Not worth the money charged.

Pros: The hotel is in a really good location in the Old Quarter, its walking distance to the markets and to the lake and museums.
Cons: The beds are hard, toilet area can be cleaner.
Location: Close to everything in the old quarter, Hanoi Hilton, and the lake. Basically walking distance to all points of interest in Hanoi
Our room was not ready for us (twice) on two different occasions, and then the lady at the front desk tried to put me in a cheaper room.

An awesome boutique hotel in the heart of Hanoi.

Posted Nov 29, 2013
Pros: Great staff, good location, awesome price
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Centrally located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, plenty of local street food around, not to mention all the cool hang out spots.
Very pleasant experience staying in this hotel. A central location, great price, but most of all, very friendly and helpful staff. I had all my local tours around Hanoi booked through the hotel, thanks to Tham who patiently attended to all my queries. Also big thanks to Linh who showed me around Hanoi and introduced me to hang out places around Hanoi. Will definitely come back to stay here if I return to Hanoi.
