“a nice little quiet hotel”

If you are after a hotel just out of the Hustle and Bustle of Hanoi's "Old Quarter" - than this is the place for you. Situated overlooking a lake about 15 mins walk from the Old Quarter, this Hotel will offer a quieter street location. Small but tidy rooms, newly renovated, nice showers (not much water pressure though). Overlooks a calm lake - interesting to see everyone out by the lake in the eveing doing exercises, catching up etc. Just have all your paperwork ready if you are travelling from the airport - Our driver didnt have any idea where the hotel was.....even after we showed him the details.

“Quite and peaceful”

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Previous reviews had noted the absence of non-smoking rooms and the limited number of staff that spoke English. Neither of these factors turned out to be a problem. The hotel is a little drab, and the advertised spa is an exaggeration. On the plus side It was surprisingly quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a Deluxe room away from the lake view, and stayed six days. Good value. I would go there again.

“Will choose other hotels”

Hotel staffs are very good, but the hotel is old. Next time I will pay a little bit more and choose a modern hotel.

The room to be fair was fine, spotless but basic. The eating area was poor, the chair covers really needed washed and the tables needed scrubbed. The breakfast was ok but I was dubious. It wasnt the most handy of locations but safe enough area. Not worth the money. The staff were friendly and there is a cheapish taxi they can organise for you to get to the airport, all was not lost!!
