Staff goes out of their way to please you. However it looks like the building has had no maintenance for long time, even the window in our room had a gap that has to be filled with newspaper. They offered to change the room but, there wasn't anything better. Also extremely noisy, difficult to sleep, which had a big impact in our stay. Staff deserves 5 stars though

Great location, safe, and great staff members. Also - wonderful breakfast! Get the pho! It definitely wasn't as nice and new as the photos make it seem. The sheets were a bit dingy and stained. Overall was a decent affordable place in a great location.

The location is great. Ideal for access to the old quarter but on the edge of it on a street that’s not too busy or hectic. The staff are excellent. Friendly and welcoming (even at 5:30am when we arrived) and very helpful. We’re so glad we chose this hotel for our first visit to Hanoi

Not that impressive if I'm totally honest....
Got to say i wasn't overly impressed with this place. On my first night the room I was put in was not up to standard and really quite grubby. I know that by staying in such a central location you cant really complain too much about noise, but i would at least expect thicker windows so at least some of the sound was drowned out, as it was i could clearly hear peoples conversations by the entrance of the Hotel. That said the staff listened to my concerns and moved me for the rest of my stay to a satisfactory room, but even that was nowhere near what I expected. I was especially disappointed, as from previous reviews, I was really thought thia place was going to be something special. That all said, it is in a great location behind the cathedral, and very central to everything worth seeing in Hanoi.

A great mid class hotel in the middle of the old quarter. The stand out feature of the hotel was the staff - incredibly helpful and always pleasant. Room was very comfortable and was exactly as advertised. Location is great - many good restaurants, bars, eating places, shopping, etc.

Absolutely Where You Need to Stay
As a family with no prior travel experience in Vietnam, we needed to lean heavily on the hotel staff for guidance and help. The Impressive Hotel lives up to its name. Firstly, the rooms are spotless (can’t say enough how grateful we are for meticulous cleanliness). Secondly, the breakfast is so good, which alone makes it worth the price. Thirdly, the staff go above and beyond to accommodate our needs as helpless tourists. We couldn’t be happier with this hotel and we stayed here every leg of our Hanoi trip and are so grateful that we did. Thank you, Impressive Hotel!!

Impressive stay at the Impressive Hotel
It really was an impressive expierence. The room was great, and the staff was amazing. Very welcoming and helpful. They were very knowledgeable and as this was our first stop in Vietnam it was comforting to have such a great staff. They spoke english very well. The breakfast spread was also impressive. The ride from the airport was a little higher cost (only because we stayed 1 night) than taking a grab but was extremely easy, especially after 25+ hours of travelling.

Great hotel near cathedral
From the time we arrived, welcomed with refreshments and smiles, to the time we left, the experience was excellent. The staff were helpful and went out of their way o accommodate us. Breakfast was good and abundant. Rooms clean. The location was good. Being near cathedral was a bonus. Lots of shops and cafes nearby.

Fantastic little hotel full of friendly staff who will go to the ends of the Earth to help! The owner even walked us to Hoa Lo Prison to guide us. Marvellous location in the heart of the Old Town too! Can't vouch for all the rooms, but we were on the 7th floor at the front, (Room 703 if you want to request it) & the view of the old cathedral is worth a picture!

The name of hotel says it all
We loved the stay - our room 703 had a small balcony where we enjoyed the view towards the cathedral. Nothing to complain about. Staff are simply outstanding and their service are outstanding. Lily was absolutely brilliant. Impressive is the right name for this hotel.

The best thing I can say is, the owner and staff are dedicated to each of thier guests satisfaction and happiness. They are very professional, caring and ethical. Big shout out to Lily who looked after me like a hawk. The staff greet everyone by thier first names when talking and entering. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Impressive was impressive
This small hotel in a quiet, but excellent location was a wonderful haven after being in the midst of hectic, noisy Hanoi. We loved our stay there and the staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They recommended a spa and hairdressers and made an appointment for me. We were very happy with both. I enjoyed sitting outside sipping a lemon juice and reading and writing. There can't be many hotels in the Old Quarter where you can do that. We recommend having the Vietnamese specialities on the breakfast menu which were a fabulous way to start the day. The staff also recommended a good cafe to have egg coffee and it really was good.

Convenient and clean hotel
Great little boutique hotel in the heart of old quarter. Very convenient and clean hotel to base yourself in Hanoi. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed there during Christmas Eve and they put on a buffet for all the staff and guest. We had to catch the overnight train to Sapa that night and all the streets were blocked off. The staff were so kind to give us a lift on their scooter along with our luggage. Will definitely stay with Hanoi Impressive Hotel if we are ever back in Hanoi again.

Great hotel right in the middle of the Old Quarter, near the Catholic Church. The best part of the hotel is the staff, especially the young lady who works at the front desk. She went out of her way to help me with a problem with flights. Our room was large and clean and had a nice view of the picturesque alley. There was construction going on next door during our visit, but the staff let us know ahead of time if there was going to be noise at night. I would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant location
This may be a three star hotel but the service is 7 star. The staff have been magnificent, helping us to organise trips, delivering us to train stations and picking us up again at 5:00am! Nothing is too difficult. We were able to leave our luggage, and book a day room before going to the airport. I can't praise them highly enough and would book again without hesitation.

Pleasant hotel in a great location
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was well-maintained and clean. I did have a problem standing comfortably under the shower because the controls are on the side of the bathtub and not at one end. The hotel is in a very good location, from which it is easy to walk to Hoan Kiem lake, the water puppet theaters, good shops, cafes and restaurants, the Cathedral and other parts of the Old Quarter. The breakfasts were excellent. Plenty of food served in very pleasant surroundings.

Very nice little hotel tucked away behind the cathedral and with good access to everything around it. I have been coming there for over 2 years now and my stay was always smooth and without any problem. Breakfast good choice of fruit, 2 juices, milk, coffee, tea, many different kinds of bread (incl dark brown), all styles of eggs, muesli & cereals. Although I was always on business affairs, certainly also a very good choice for the city tourist: near the lake and the cathedral, plenty of restaurants of all kind, cafes, bars, ATM, good access to taxis. Friendly staff speaks English, and will help with transport, etc. Across the street a nice Belgian restaurant with good beers and nice menu.

Great breakfast. Worth the extra 10 bucks compared to hotels that are in the 25-35 range. Great location. Great staff.
