“Quoc Hoa Hotel, Hanoi - good value hotel in Hoan Kiem district”

If you are looking for a hotel that is value for money, you could do worse than staying here. It is in a good location in the Hoan Kiem district - not far from the lake, and right at the doorstep of the bustling streets. The windows appear to be soundproof which is almost a 'must-have' when staying in the Old Quarter. Service was good at the hotel, and the breakfast buffet was enjoyable. The only thing to watch out for is the bellhop's offers to line up a taxi for you upon departure. You probably will pay more than flagging one down on the street, and it will also take a longer amount of time since the bellhop has to call his crony to come and pick you up. Otherwise, it was a pleasant place to rest one's head.

“An oasis in a chaotic city”

When I arrived at Quoc Hoa I found a delightful surprise. Every aspect of this hotel is awesome. With the craziness on the streets of Hanoi, walking in to Quoc Hoa has an immediate calming influence from the pleasant staff to fresh flowers and a welcoming drink to fresh fruit in your room. I will definitely stay there again!

“Equal to good ones in Old Quarter”

I've now stayed in three hotels in the Old Quarter. We arrived in the late evening to the hotel, but reserved room was waiting. Initially I was miffed at our being in the room fronting the street. Very pleasant to discover management had installed sound proof windows. They made sleeping possible without the ever present noise of motor scooters ruining the night. Breakfast was very good, with an abundant buffet offering a combination of Western and Vietnamese items. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or stay there again myself.

“Peace at Last”

This hotel was a perfect oasis in the middle of a challenging city—quiet, comfortable and very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished with dark timber fittings and white covers on the very comfortable bed. We particularly loved the dining room on the 8th floor - you could enjoy breakfast and look out over Hanoi - in 3 directions. The hotel if very well located and is walking distance from most tourist attractions and in the middle of the guild streets in old Hanoi. The hotel was happy to mind our bags whilst we went off to HA Long bay and Sapa for 4 nights.

“An Excellent Non Pretentious Hotel”

I highly recommend the Quoc Hoa Hotel located in the Old Quarter. This was our first trip to Hanoi and I believe it was so incredible because we were staying in the heart of the city. The Old Quarter is confusing, chaotic and so alive. The Quoc Hoa was the perfect hotel to stay in while experiencing the city. It is a non-pretentious three star hotel with all the necessity amenities. It isn't luxurious. This is important because to experience luxury while visiting Hanoi would be crass. The staff was very helpful - providing tips about taxis, pointing us in the right direction and arranging day trips.

“Nice little hotel in the Old Quarter”

We enjoyed our stay at the Quoc Hoa mainly because the hotel is where we wanted to be - the Old Quarter. The staff too were helpful booking a tour to Halong Bay and booking the night train to Hue. The room was spacious, and clean, but it is basic and the hallways and floor rugs looked a little worn. A buffet breakfast was included and it was plentiful, had a variety, and good. A nice little hotel in the Old Quarter....

“Friendliest place ever”

Right in the hear of the old quarter sits this comfortable hotel. The front desk staff was soo welcoming, friendly, and soo helpful which helped us deal with the chaos and confusion of Hanoi. The rooms were mostly clean and comfortable. The hotel as a whole was comfortable and a nice escape from the craziness of the streets below.

“Great value”

This is not the Ritz (or the Sofitel Metropole), but neither are the prices. Excellent choice for a stay in the old quarter.

“Friendly service”

Day staff was very efficient and friendly, especially the waitress who attended the breakfast, she was alone, she had a lot of work and always smiling. But at night, the boy does not understand much English and was more difficult to communicate. But overall I recommend the hotel, its location is convenient and friendly service.
