“good value hotel”
When I arrived at 01.00 hours in the morning, I thought what have I booked here. The street is in a run down part of the old city but this is Hanoi,Vietnam. The car I had prebooked was waiting for me at the airport as was the manager at the hotel. The cost was $17 and the going rate for the trip. I am glad I had prebooked as you could have been dropped in the middle of nowhere. The rooms were spacious, very clean, good beds, wifi and very hot water for a shower, no bath. The room had a sink, fridge freezer and microwave, but no utensils if you wanted to eat yourself as the manager said people did. As with all hotels, beer etc is expensive relative to local prices,Food in the morning was limited but good and substantial, you order of a preset menu. The hotel is good value, but also situiated near the railway line for the main station in Hanoi. The line is only single line, but very near the houses, so you will get 2 or 3 horn sounds at about 05.00 in the morning, but appart from that there is no noise issues. If you want a better type of hotel be prepared to pay accordingly. Also do not get confused with the hotel name as there are 5 in the group, this is the estate anjd has the biggest rooms of the whole group.
