“Amazing staff - so helpful and pleasant.”

This may be rated a three star hotel, but the staff were five star. The hotel is new, clean and comfortable.The hotel is located in the old part of Hanoi where the traffic was crazy - more scooters than I have ever seen in my life and the people live outside on the sidewalks during the day. If you want to be part of the action, this is a great location. The staff were very enthusiastic and helpful in arranging trips - city tours and to Ha Long Bay. The restaurants they suggested were great. We were very satisfied with our experience.

“Very impressed, good freindly homely service”

We booked a deluxe twin and double room. It was large and spacious with all the amenities u would expect of a 4/5 star hotel. Staff were overly polite and helpful and very friendly, they bend over backwards to ensure you have a nice stay and would carry you to your room, if they have it their way. Breakfast was sufficient. The manager helped plan our walking tour of the city and advised us where to eat and visit and even gave us a price guide. We booked the Ha Long boat cruise thro' the hotel which included transfers to Ha Long bay. The boat Hanoi Opera cruise was luxurious and the best shower facilities we experienced in our 11 days visit to Vietnam. All in all, a very nice hotel to stay in, where you are treated more like a long lost friend than a name on the guest list.

With late arrival around mid-night, we contacted the hotel several days beforehand for the staff to pre-arrange pickup from the airport @$17USD. (a fair taxi price!).They were really flexible with our departure time the following day and gave valuable advice on taxis etc.

“Great Service, Great location”

The staff at the Rising Dragon II hotel could not do more to help us enjoy our stay in Hanoi. They were very friendly and recommended things to do (whilst not pushing their tours). They helped us book onward travel, change money and contacted our boat tour for us for more information. The rooms are lovely and the hotel is in a great location in the Old Quarter which is a good place to start your exploration of this interesting city!

The staff here can do no more for you. They ran out to buy us a converter for a plug bcause we had lost ours. They helped book taxi's to and from the airport. The chef loves to come around and tell you about the local food he has prepared for Breakfast which is wonderfully tasty. This hotel even allowed us to come back after our trip from Sapa (we arrived @4 15am) and have a bed for a few hours and shower and then watched our bags and arranged a taxi for our 5pm flight. ( all for no charge) I can not recommend this place highly enough, the location is amazing in the heart of the Old quarter you can walk out the front door and just absorb yourself into the Hanoi culture

The service and staff was awesome, nothing was too much trouble, They assisted with tours (Sapa and Halong Bay) had a member of staff escort us to the train; he collected the train tickets showed us the carriage and compartment we were travelling in and stayed with us until we were settled. Breakfast was a real treat with a wide selection of fruit, breads, juices along with Vietnam and European style foods. The manager was always at hand to assist and or advise I cannot speak highly enough of her customer service skills and personality. On the 25th December we were invited to a Christmas dinner it was a wonderful evening and to our surprise they would not accept any payment. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone, I have been in the hospitality business for many years and I was impressed with all aspects of the hotel.
