could be better for this moneyPosted Nov 6, 2011 on Hotels.com
no window in the room (the would-believe window was into some storage closet), very noisy air-conditioner. Hotel staff friendly. For one night it was just OK. Would not recommend to stay there longer than that if you can afford more expensive hotels.

Great Hanoi hotelPosted Feb 7, 2011
Our experience at the Santa Hotel was above what I expected. We arrived late from the airport to friendly faces at the front desk that continued to help us throughout our stay. We extended our 2 days to three because the location was great. The breakfast was beyond what I would expect for free. The rooms were clean and wifi was good the entire time. I would definitely recommend Santa to visitors looking for a mid-range, convenient hotel.

Enjoyed our stayPosted Oct 31, 2009
We have being in Vietnam one month. We used Santa Hotel as a base in Hanoi. We came back three times because we like it very much. The staff were polite, helpful & informative. The rooms are clean & spacious & bathrooms good. The only setback as in all the hotels we stayed in at Vietnam was the bed is a . little harder than what we are used too. We would recommend this hotel & would be happy to return. After check-out they were happy to let us freshen up before going on the night train & looked after our luggage at no extra cost! Again staff & management were very helpful & accommodiatng in every way.

OK but nothing to write home aboutPosted Aug 1, 2009
Having paid extra for an above standard room, we were surprised to be given a small room on the top floor with mould on the wall. We complained and were given a much more pleasant room, with a complementary bowl of fruit. Unfortunately the initial impressions stuck as this was the first disappointing hotel room in 7 hotels in 3 weeks.

Santa HotelPosted Dec 2, 2008
At first I thought the hotel was noisy but Hanoi is very noisy and so actually, the hotel is relatively quiet. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I think that there was some maintenance work going on next door that started at about 5am.
