“Great service sperates this hotel from others”
Perfectly located hotel in the old quarter of Hanoi. This is a great location to explore Hanoi's sights. The hotel is a typical Hanoi hotel - six floors in a narrow building that limits the number of rooms and therefore the number of guests. The room was genous in size and included a computer. The bathroom was a little small for a 6.2" person, but managable. The absence of a shower in our room was a suprise - there is a spa and hand retractable shower head that is sufficient and somehting of a novelty. The weather in March for Hanoi was also a surprise, around 18 degrees during the day. This was great weather to explore and so much nicer than the humidity of the south.
The stand out feature of this hotel are the staff. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome and provided with advice on local attractions and places to eat. Their english is good as is their sense of humor. Breakfast is unrestricted ordering from the an la carte menu that has a good variety of dishes - I recommend the local noddle soup for breakfast. Tea and coffee are always avaliable and the staff are happy to sit and have a chat with you about your daily adventures in the hotel foyer over a cuppa!
There is a christian cathederal one block back from the hotel and the bells do ring! Thankfully, this isn't often enough to be annoying and adds to the charater of the location.
