Lovely hotel and kind staffPosted Nov 19, 2013
Pros: Breakfast area is cramp.
Location: Great area around the hotel
First time to try this hotel and felt very happy to spend holiday at this lovely hotel. Receptionist though there is accent issue tried her best to speak English which made me very comfortable. I was at the topmost floor-9th floor, elevator is until the 8th only so you have to walk upstairs. Wifi is very fast and for free of charge. Room is big enough for 2 persons, one queen and one single bed which very soft and comfortable for deep sleep. It will take a while for the AC to cool the room. It has a desktop in the room but having connectivity issues (IP conflict) to be exact. Location is a bit far from the local market area around 5-10 mins walk but close to Hoan Kiem Lake, Water Puppet theater and in the right central of Hanoi Old Town. We love the buffet breakfast and will recommend this still to my friends. Recommend to book tour via this hotel for its good quality and good price too. Should ask Joe if book directly or Boss Kenny if you need to arranged in advance via online.

Everything was so goodPosted Nov 12, 2013
Cons: The lighting for reading books not convenient and should be placed a plug under the mirror.
Location: Great location as it is close to Hoan Kiem Lake and night market
Can be confident to highly recommend this hotel for its great service and nicest staff ever. Our room was clean, large and nice decors. Love the food for breakfast also and the handy location. Thaison Hotel even sent some postcards out for me. The amount of money I left to have them sent was insufficient, but they still sent them out for me - incredible customer service. This 's a very impressive Hotel was our favorite hotel throughout our travels. If I return to Hanoi I will definitely stay at Thaison Palace Hotel. I highly recommend it to any couple staying in Hanoi.

Good hotel but don't book Ha Long tour with them!!Posted Oct 24, 2013
The hotel staff seemed friendly at first and said they could offer a range of tours for Ha Long Bay. When we went to book they pushed only one option - The Golden Lotus. We ended up being robbed by the staff on the boat as did all the other tourists. They discouraged us from going to the police saying that we may have to wait in Ha Long for a few days or that we would have to pay the police to investigate. We decided to return to the hotel and take the issue up with the staff who seemed very disinterested and said they would follow up with us the next day which they never did. I would recommend that you always count your money when staying with them and especially on The Golden Lotus. The buffet was small and we often had to wait until there were tables free.

Good location & friendly staffsPosted Apr 18, 2013
Pros: The staffs
Cons: Functionality of the water tap & door in the toilet
Location: Good location. 5 -10mins walk to the famous Hoan Kiem Lake. There are number of good restaurants and cafes nearby.
This is my 2nd time stay in this hotel. They have just recently renovated the hotel. It is definitely nicer, better than the first time I stayed there. Good location of the hotel & friendly staffs.

be awarePosted Mar 30, 2013
On arrival at first I was asked if I'd like to visit Ha Long bay. As it was in my plans and I have limited time, I have agreed and had been "awarded" with 35$ standard tour instead of 20$ in any street agency... As soon as I paid for the tour, I was informed, that this hotel is overbooked and insistently asked to move to another replacement.. It seems this is a standard practice..

Dear our Valued Guests, Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to post your comment from your recent experience at Thaison Palace Hotel, number 7- 9 Hang Voi, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi although it was wrong 100%. In our attempt to improve our hotel, we surely value all the feedback we can get from our guests. We were truly sorry to hear that you have mixed feelings about our hotel. We agreed with you that our hotel rooms are very beautiful and we can proud of being the best hotel in Hanoi for rooms and location. In regards to you comments about the selling tour, Is it correct? Checking our Record your booking status remarked as NO-SHOW and we understand you were cheated by local taxi driver at the airport. They cheated you and bring you to other hotel in order to sell the tours with over price. Please confirm 100% you did not stay at Thaison Palace Hotel for sure.. However, we sincerely hope to see you again soon for your next stay in Hanoi. Best Regards Moki/ Mr Hotel Manager

The Thaison Palace Hotel is centrally located, within walking distance of the Old Quarter and the French Quarter, just two blocks from Lake Hoan Hiem. Although not all the rooms have windows, they are clean and have large beds; they offer all the 4-star hotel perks (safe, minibar, toilet amenities, free water, tea and coffee); the bathrooms need renovating. The breakfast includes a mixture of Western and local dishes. The staff is excellent, speaks several languages, and is eager to help. It includes a very good travel desk.

Near the old quarterPosted Jan 11, 2013
Pros: It ha a computer!!
Cons: Too much noise
Location: Near the old quarter but not inside. It was noisy, though
The beda were comfortable and shower was ok, not much dofference between the cheapest and the deluxe room. Breakfast was good. Got what we paid for, although there are probably best options. Pretty nosy.

Great Service // Great LocationPosted Nov 27, 2012
Pros: Fast internet
It's a 3-star hotel to be sure. However, the Tour Desk was great and were really helpful. They were able to handle all our requests and were kind enough to store our luggage throughout our visit to Ha Long Bay. I'd recommend the hotel based on the service. Oh, and their internet. It was just blazingly fast -- 22 Mbps.
