Very convenient location. Walking distance to major tourist attractions, shopping malls and eateries.

You can probably find a better place to stay

Pros: Location
Cons: The staff
Location: Close to Zhaolin Park and Zhongyang Dajie in Daoli District.
I had some problems with this hotel. Very few of the staff spoke English. Their neighborhood map only covered a few blocks in any direction and contained no English at all. The travel agents in the lobby refused to give me the senior discount on a ticket to the Ice and Snow Festival even though I was eligible for the discount. A dirty Q-Tip was left on the floor of my bathroom the entire six days I was there. They failed to give me my wakeup call my last morning. My Internet connection was terrible. I complained to the manager. He told me I was wrong and that the Internet worked fine. His proof was that the sites he accessed from his computer worked fine. I later got to try it from another room (it's wired not Wi-Fi so it wasn't a signal strength issue) and it was much better from there. With an attitude like the managers it's going to take a long time before anyone acknowledges there's a problem and does something about it. The rooms have windows in the bathroom next to the tubs and showers that look out into the room. There's a shade but it's on the outside. It could be fun with the right roommate. Zhongyang Dajie is at the end of the block. It's an interesting street closed to car traffic.

Pros: The bathroom window facing into the room.
Cons: The attitude of the staff.
Location: It'sconvenient for the Festival. Zhaolin Park, is at one end of the block. You can get to the other two from a bus stop three blocks away.
I found the hotel disappointing. Few of the staff spoke English. I complained to a manager about the speed of the Internet, which was so slow it was pretty much unusable, and I was told I was wrong, that the Internet was just fine. As it turns out, when I returned a few days later and was in a different room the Internet was acceptable but with an attitude like the manager's it's probably still broken in my first room (It's wired, not Wi-Fi so it's a wiring problem not a signal strength problem.) There was a dirty Q-tip next to my toilet for the entire six days of my stay. My second room had a clogged shower and the shower stall overflowed into the room. On my last day I failed to get a wake-up call. The travel agents in the lobby charged me full price for a ticket to the Ice and Snow Festival even though I pointed out I should be getting the senior discount. The only map the hotel provides only covers a few square blocks around the hotel and has absolutely no English on the map. Some or all of the rooms have an unusual feature. They have a window in the bathroom next to the tub or shower that looks out into the room. There's a shade on the window but it's on the outside. It could be fun, depending on your roommate.

Great but download a translater

Pros: Big shower
Cons: Tv. THe only channel in English was fashion tv. The most boring and repetive show on earth.
Location: Great right in the middle of it. Walk to the far end and grab a map from the holiday inn hotel on the corner. They speak better English there as well.
Every one does try to do whatever you need them to do but that is only when they understand you. Stay here by all means. Great location and good rooms but take a translator with you as no one speaks English and there are no organised tours. They can help getting you there and back but that is all. Be organised and know where you won't to go.

excellent location but dirty

The hotel location is excellent. It seems that the hotel only do cleaning before you check in, even then the carpet and the toilet is dirty. The rooms facing the main road are better, as the windows open to the main road. There is no bathtub.
