“Can't wait to go back”

Blessed Cottages is a superb lodging - a real find. I'm thankful to have found such a wonderful place in which to stay while in Rishikesh. And on top of that, I made some great friends among the staff there.

“Not so great...”

While the outside of this place is gorgeous (once you get down the dirt road to get there!), the inside left a lot to be desired. It was not well-maintained; my double bed had one side with an okay mattress, and the other side of it was filled with what appeared to be rags and blankets to "fill it out". It would not have been comfortable. The toilet leaked, so the floor was soaked, so I had to turn off the water supply to the toilet every time after the toilet had re-filled. It was dark inside the room, many of the lights didn't work. I didn't feel too comfortable here. Granted, the price for this place is not very high, but it's actually much over-priced.These accommodations were much more expensive and also much lower quality than the ashram that I stayed at on subsequent nights. Had I known that guest houses and hotels in Rishikesh are very abundant and there are many, many choices once you're there, and some are much less expensive than this place for much nicer accommodations, I would have waited until I was in Rishikesh and just picked out a place after I got there.
