The b&b is located near transportation, parks, museums, restaurants and shops. We were greeted by helpful staff upon arrival. The studio apartment included a private bath with a soaking tub. There was also a packet especially put together for us. It included a detailed guide of the neighborhood hapoenings, multiple brochures and a city magazine. The studio itself incorporated original brownstone fittings with urban architecture. The furnishings were luxe and amazingly modern. We will definitely be staying here again.

My first impression of the NY Renaissance Home when I arrived was "wow!" I felt like I was staying in an art gallery. The host was quite amiable and the other staff were friendly and efficient. It felt like a home, not a hotel. And the art and décor - wow!

The location and quietness of apt complex was about the best features, but definitely not a deal maker. Eventhough we were there half of the time of our visit, the apt had only a small one room air conditioner in the window of one of the bedrooms. It was hot at night in the apt even after leaving air on high and doors for other rooms open for most of day. The tub dripped all night and the toilet seat was literally adjustable since it wasn't bolted down to stay in place so don't move if you have to sit down and use it. We had informed appropriate person we would have 6 people but only had 4 towels and for wash cloths 3 large hand towels. We prepared for a small apt because it was New York, but when the sofa bed literally blocks off the passage from one of the bed rooms to any other part of the apt, that is a toe/foot banging hazzard at night. The cable would work if you wasn't connected to the internet; otherwise, the cable would freeze and scan for signal every 3 minutes which defeated the possibility of being able to look at a tv show and follow it. The shower curtain was useless because it would snap off the shower rings if you tried to close the curtain faster than 1 inch a minute so you had to use special care - family dollar makes better curtains that can hold up better. Overall it's better to spend the extra $100-150 for an actual hotel room and have a decent room suitable for your family. If the room wasn't paid in full up front, I would've left immediately.

"No elevators at all. So dont bring heavy luggage."
First, we had to stay at this location due to the fact that the Apartment we chose at first became unavailable due to a plumbing issue, few days before of our staying. Location is ok but surroundings are not too good. We had to carry 5 suitcases to the room via stairs....so be prepared to do lots of things onyour own. 4th floor apartment!!!
