nice hotel close to Hershey attractions
Posted Jan 16, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: The pullout couch could be improved-the mattress was getting pretty worn out
Location: On main street of Hershey with intersections near by for Harrisburg and Hershey places like Chocolate World and Park. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The rooms were basic but nice. The breakfast was very good and had varied items like waffles and hard boiled eggs. Perfect location-between downtown Hershey and the park and stadium. Good value

Stay here for the location and the pool, not room.

Pros: The pool.
Cons: The features of the room are all show and not function - curtains, sink, bathroom all poor design and unnecessarily inconvenient.
The room LOOKED o.k. but when you settle in, the poor design is a hassle to deal with. Three layers of curtains - but the blackout curtains, which actually darken the room are hidden behind 2 layers of decorative, wasted uselessness. There was a fancy counter around the sink in a cubby so narrow you can't lean in and wash your face without banging your elbows on the hair dryer or pull-out make-up mirror and there was no place to set your toiletries or hand towel. The toilet seat was broken and you had take apart the toilet paper holder to get the paper to roll because housekeeping had crammed two rolls into a space meant for one. The shower curtain had weird pockets that gaped into shower and held water. The fridge still had food from the previous guests, and the table and dresser surfaces were sticky - not nice to touch. The fancy "clean remote" for the TV didn't work and we had to get the desk clerk to fix it. We stayed at this hotel instead of the La Quinta because of the pool, which was very nice, but I'm not sure I'd stay here again. This hotel didn't live up to the standards I expect from a Best Western.

Good location
Posted Jan 15, 2013
Pros: Location
Hotel was situated close to all activities in Hershey Park area. Staff was helpful, complimentary breakfast was pretty decent. Would definitely stay there again as it is much cheaper than the Hershey resorts and just as close to the park and other activities. Only stayed overnight so didn't use much of the facilities.

Better than was expecting
Posted Jan 30, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness, close to parks.
Cons: Redesign drapes, so that they close.
Location: Central to everything. 5 minutes to parks.
Read a lot of bed reviews. Was so much better than I was expecting. Very clean, breakfast & breakfast room very nice!! Only problem we encountered was that the drapes in room did not close. Besides the no privacy was when the sun came up in morning, we were woken up by the brightness. Poor design. Would defininitly stay again & recommend.

Good Value
Posted Jan 20, 2013
Pros: The price was right and the location is good.
Cons: This hotel is not new and is beginning to show it's age. The heating/cooling system was loud, as was the refrigerator which we turned off at bedtime.
Location: Hershey Park is just down the road: very nice amusement park, chocolate based activities, Hershey Gardens, etc.
The hotel staff were friendly and allowed us to check in early. We were attending a wedding at the Hersey Hotel but did not what to pay $350 a night, This hotel was perfectly fine for much, much less money.

FORTUNATELY THE MOTEL WAS NOT CROWDED BECAUSE BREAKFAST PREP WAS INSUFFCIENT. WHILE WE DID NOT EXPECT ANYTHING EXTRAVAGANT, IT WAS MEDIOCRE AT BEST. ON A SCALE OF 1-5 FOR CONTINENTAL BREAKFASTS SERVED ELSEWHERE I'D GIVE IT A 2. ( 1 POOR -5 EXCELLANT)

A short stay

The room was adequate, quiet and comfortable, with a couch but only one chair. Small bath, small sink area, but useable.
