“Quite satisfied and the price was right.”

This is one of the best motels I've stayed at in a while and the price was quite reasonable as well. I'll be back. The only downside is that the driveway and parking lot is confusing. They could use some fresh signage, especially regarding how to exit.

“Would go there again”

This motel is setup like a hotel with an inside hallway and someone at the check-in desk 24/7 which made me feel safe. To get to the upper floors from the other end of the hall you had to use your room card to open the outside door. With doors on the interior, no drafts or bugs coming in under the door. The room was newly renovated and clean. The lobby has a free fax and computer, coffee and tea available 24 hrs. We walked across the driveway to dinner at TGI Friday's next door. There is a 2nd sink outside the bathroom so 1 person could get ready while the other is using the bathroom. Also, coffee pot, iron & ironing board and blowdryer in the room. Would definitely go back there and recommend staying there.

“Would definitely stay again!”

We booked with short notice due to family emergency. Our accommodations were so much nicer than we expected. What a pleasant surprise! We were greeted warmly & were made to feel very welcome. The beds were among the most comfortable I have ever experienced at any hotel, and the rooms were absolutely immaculate. Also very quiet -- we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

“Excellent value and near the York Expo Center”

I tried this hotel as a cheaper, closer alternative to the York Expo Center. I was not disappointed at all. The double bed room was spacious, clean, odor-free, and the beds were comfortable. Would have liked an electrical outlet next to the 2nd bed; there was none, had to buy a cheap 12' extension cord for my CPAP. We were on the backside of the hotel on 1st floor, but it was very quiet for a Thursday night. The continental breakfast buffet was not huge but gave you a very good choice of options. I would definitely stay there again, as it was an excellent value. The only problem we had was getting back to US 30 - you cannot go out Kenneth Road the way you came in due to a concrete median which stretches from Loucks Rd to US 30 (see Google Satellite). After a couple tries, we found small signs directing you out the back way to Loucks Rd. Would be nice for York to remove the median, as it serves no good purpose. In the meantime, the hotel should add more and larger direction signs to the backway out.

“A very good place to stay.”

The staff was friendly and the rooms were comfortable. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

“Just ordinary”

The hotel lacked an indoor or outdoor pool. Front desk personnel were not very professional. Rooms were fairly large, beds comfortable. Breakfast bar was typical.

“Nice York PA Hotel”

Very reasonable price for this hotel. The rooms have been renovated and are nice size. Conveniently located with ample parking. Good location for the York fairgrounds. Would return.

“Hard to find location”

The only thing I found bad about this hotel was it is hard to find along the highway and the streets are mostly one ways and always seem to be in the wrong direction when you want to leave the hotel. I stayed for a few days and would stay again now that I know the pattern of the streets for getting in and out. I travel to YORK two times a year and will consider this Best Western again. The morning breakfast was OK .

“Soft bed”

This is a convenient and inexpensive option for a York hotel. The bed was soft both times I stayed but everything else was great. Clean and friendly.

“Hotel OK- other guests not so great”

The hotel itself was fine. There was a small refrigerator and microwave in the room, the beds were comfortable, and the continental breakfast was ok for the reasonable price of the room. I did have a problem with some other guests, though. A group of several families came with small children, and for some reason felt it was OK to play ball in the hallway, with lots of jumping and yelling for almost an hour. Adults in this group were playing and encouraging the children to continue playing! The hotel management certainly heard all this noise, as the front desk is right down the hall, but no one from management asked the group to take their ball game outside. It makes me wonder what kind of consideration for others the children in this group are learning. The parents certainly have no consideration for others, so I can only guess the kids will grow up the same way. Management should consider the comfort of ALL their guests, not just the ball players. I would tell future travelers to expect nothing from management, but the hotel is convenient and reasonably priced.
