a weekend getaway with my kids

Posted Nov 1, 2014
Pros: Breakfast
Location: Everything is a drive
I needed to find a hotel near Lancaster that was affordable. It's a bit of a trip but took a chance on expedia with the surprise hotel option. Too bad the pools were outside as my kids packed their swim suits and anticipated spending time being water guppies but we were able to find other things to do not too far away. Breakfast was nice, it was cool for the kids to make their own waffles. Over all a nice experience

Close to everything.

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: Had most everything I needed and was close to my parents.
Cons: See above.
Location: Round the Clock Diner was a big plus.
Room had everything I requested. I told front desk that shower curtain smelled and needed washing or replacing. Water was not hot for my bath. Room seemed clean except for corners. Would've preferred not to have room service knock on door at 9:30. If I'd slept in that would've prevented it. Staff was very accommodating about my questions (how to get on wifi and where to go to eat, also directions to Windsor Rd.)

Close to York College

The person who check us in was not very friendly. She was working on a task and without making eye contact she said she would be with us in a minute. After she finished what she was doing the check in went quickly and smoothly. The person who check us out was very friendly. The fact that our room faced a highways made it very loud and difficult to sleep. If I could stay in a room on the opposite side of the building I would stay here again. If not, I wouldn't.

Great stay

Days Inn the room was clean and comfortable and we got a great price through Expedia. We slept comfortably. The employee kept the free buffet stocked and was friendly at check out. The heating unit worked well but it was a little noisy though. They had an iron and hair dryer in the room as well as a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Also cable tv. Days Inn was well worth the great price.
