Good stay except for highway traffic noisePosted Jan 11, 2015
Cons: Road noise from I-81
We had a good experience, as we usually do at the Hampton, except for the high amount of traffic noise from I-81 (which faced our room). Sound proofing left something to be desired. I ended up turning on the fan on the heater just to mask the road noise. I recommend requesting a room on the north side of the hotel to avoid the road noise.

Central to the Harrisburg areaPosted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: I could smell how clean it was when I walked into the lobby.
Cons: Something needs to be done about the highway noise. Not sure if really anything could be done in that regard.
Location: The farm show grounds are close by as are many other activities, such as a short drive to Hershey.
Everything is top notch. They even upgraded me. The only downside is staying on the side of the hotel that faces Route 81.

Not a bad place overall.Posted Dec 2, 2014
Pros: comfortable bed, pleasant and efficient staff
Location: location was convenient for my trip, halfway between Kentucky and Boston. All I wanted to do was sleep, which was good because as nearly as I could t
The room was nice, bed comfortable, lots of hot water and towels, TV was easy to operate with a lot of channels. Check-in and check-out (pre-paid with Expedia) went very quickly and smoothly. They accommodated my request for a room away from the highway, but it still was noisy (heating unit?). Breakfast both days was only so-so. One of the reasons I like Hampton Inns is their breakfasts are mostly quite good. Free newspaper in the morning is a plus. A little difficult to get to off the highway, and dining prospects in the area are limited.

Nice Accomodations-Super Friendly, Helpful Staff!!Posted Nov 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff at this hotel, Harrisburg North, were all super friendly and helpful- A++ for that! Since I have the opportunity, just a few critiques - mainly, why, in a new hotel, are you still putting in toilets that are so darn low that older people, and even younger ones too since bad knees are becoming an epidemic, have a struggle getting up and down?? The ADA compliant ones are so much better. (And I'm surprised that AARP hasn't been on that issue.) And just two tiny things- a teabag as well as coffee is always appreciated, and there was no plastic bag for laundry. We'll be back!

Nice!Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Clean. Friendly.
Location: Out of the way, but easy access. No restaurants in walking distance.
Very friendly staff. Close to Farm Show Grounds. We found a "back way" there. Breakfast not as good as other Hampton Inns I have stayed at. I would stay there again.
