“Older Motel - Family owned, nicely maintained, clean, pleasant management”
This motel is conveniently located to all the Hershey attractions. It is an older motel dating, from appearances to the late 40s or 50s. The family who have owned this motel for six years have worked hard to bring it up to some level of modern expectations. Unlike many motels of the era, this one has not been left to languish and retains the charm that once identified the small independent motel. The room (we had a single king) is adequate in size with a nice bed (not lumpy with age or rock hard as many inexpensive motels seem to have), There is a TV (with cable), remote, microwave, small fridge, phone and wifi. The wifi required a password which is on the room info card on the night table. Connection speed was good and I had not problem streaming. The bathroom had a shower stall (nice high shower head - no ducking for me at 6' 3") toilet and sink. The bathroom, like the room, was spotless and had an exterior window as well. It was nice to see the linens and bed spreads being dried out in the air and sun. You don't often see motels, or hotels, cleaning the bed spreads as well. It fit with the over all cleanliness of the place. When I asked the owner why I didn't see any cleaning staff. He told me they found that only when they cleaned things themselves (wife and he) could they be sure the place was clean to their standards. The management was attentive, friendly and accommodating. There is complimentary coffee in the office. For a retro hotel it was great!
“Great people”
Nice place to stay. Very comfortable and they treated me really good. Is not really like a big chain of hotels, but the down to earth coziness make all for it.
“Lots of space/ great location”
This was a great location for our overnight stay in Hershey. I traveled with my mother and my 4 children - ages 10,9,8,3. We had loads of room with two bedrooms and a living room/kitchen area. Very happy with my stay. I would definitely book again.
“Hotel”
Basic hotel but good for us.
“Conveniently located near Hershey park, reasonable price”
Location to area attractions was good. Several dining choices within short drive. Towels were a little rough. A good choice for someone on a budget-save the money for the attractions
“It was clean, and close to where I needed to be.”
For the convenience to where I needed to be for the price paid, I would stay there again. The office people were very nice and close to the places I needed to attend.
“Cheap and clean”
It was the cheapest and close to Hershey attractions. I would recommened to stay here.
“Good value”
No locks on windows, no chain lock on door. clean room. good parking. friendly, fast service.
“A decent place to stay if you're looking to save money”
My boyfriend and I booked this room on very short notice and stayed two nights. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. The room was pretty small, but it was fine for just the two of us, especially since we were out most of the time at the park. It is evident that effort is made to maintain this motel as well as possible. Our room was very clean. It had a newer air-conditioning unit that worked well (and it was hot out!), a small refrigerator and a microwave. There were even a few patio tables/chairs outside for guest use, which I thought was a nice touch. Overall, I think this is a good place to stay if you're planning on being out at the attractions and don't need frills. I had no complaints.
“I'm a motel, not a hotel”
The Hershey Travel Inn served it's purpose as a place close enough to Hershey Park (about 6 minutes), and clean (except part of the base boards) where we could lay our heads down and rest before heading back home the next day. Two nice surprises were the microwave and the refrigerator. Go to Funcks for breakfast (turn left out of drive way, several blocks down on your right). Food was good, price was right. We would stay at the motel again with no hesitation.
