The hotel was a good place to stay while in York. Evening dining was convenient and yummy. However the breakfast was cold and unsatisfactory. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean.

Facility looks good from the outside but inside s old and dated. The rooms were not clean, our bed sheets had hair on them. The bathroom had dirt and hair on the floor and toilet, and the shower was falling apart. Location was ok.

The lobby area and exterior of the hotel are rather immaculate, however the rooms are not. The room that my mother and I were supposed to stay in was not very clean at all. The tiled floor at the entrance and bathroom inside the room were very dirty and had no been mopped in some time. The bed actually had a large bright red area with a hole (resembling a bullet hole) underneath the encased mattress cover. The floors were not vacuumed, the shower head and shower itself were moldy/covered in limescale. Rather than spending money on upgrading the lobby and exterior or the property, renovations and investment in quality cleaning staff should have been made a priority when it came to the rooms.

First let me start by saying that reception personnel were friendly and there never seemed to be a wait time. My big complaint with this hotel is there is only one elevator that is located very far away from most of the rooms...because of that, you are pretty much forced to use the stairs and alternate exits if on the 2nd floor. My room was 240 which is adjacent to the lovely, double metal doors that lead to the stairway. Because of the dog show in town, people were using the stairwell all hours of the night and those doors kept banging and neither myself or my dog were able to sleep for any length of time at a time. This room was also either above or adjacent to the laundry and the noise when the washers were spinning out is very loud in that room. I was there 5 days and am very sleep deprived. I fell on the sidewalk at the corner of the building beyond the entry for the ballroom while I was walking my dog Wednesday evening. The landscaping was all level with the sidewalk except that rounded corner on the backside where there is an approximately 2" difference. I slipped off the edge of the sidewalk, caught my toe on the edges of the sidewalk and landed on my hands and right knee on the concrete injuring the palms of my hands, my knee and probably fracturing my big toe. This made the numerous trips up and down the stairs even harder.

I was in room 121. It had a door that opened into the pool area. The pool closes at 9, but the hotel allows people to hang out in the pool area 24 hours a day. People were in there drinking and talking/yelling/laughing all night. It echoed incredibly loudly into our room. We didn’t sleep at all. I spoke with the front desk. They said they were allowed in there. So there was nothing done. Very disappointing stay. I do NOT recommend!!

I was very impressed with our room. It had everything anyone could want, especially the couch with 2 ottomans that we used to sit and eat a meal. The computer desk and chair with wifi hookup an extra bookshelf, dresser with large tv on the wall, very comfortable bed with 4 pillows and plush bedding. Also the mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Roomy bathroom with plenty of towels. One complaint was that the shower curtain did not have a plastic liner to keep water from getting on the floor. We also appreciate that there was a restaurant in the hotel where on our first night we got dinner and didn't have to go back out. A hot daily breakfast was included which was good but would be nice if they changed the daily options a little but we appreciated it all the same. The sofa bed is broken, with foam coming out of the sides. The room wreaks of stale wood, like wood-paneling. The bathroom is worse than those at summer camp, there is no stall for the shower, the floor just dips downwards so the water does not run all around. This reminds me of some third-world countries, and still it was better in those countries. The toilet has scratches that go through the porcelain so there are brown spots on them. The microwave is on the desk, the ice bucket does not have liner, the temperature controls do not work for the room. We can barely breath in this place. Cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, nor will we ever come back here. This is disappointing. I wish folks would write real reviews about hotels so you know what you're paying for.

Amazing Place and Staff!!
We were here due to my Mother having surgery and we wanted to be close until she was discharged. The staff were incredible. They were sooo accommodating and helpful. The food at the restaurant was amazing. Pricy but you definitively got what you paid for. The complementary breakfast had eggs, toast, bacon, potatoes, pasteries, yogurt, fruit, and bagels. All very good. We also brought our dog. This was, by far, one of the best stays we've had in any hotel we've stayed in.

I loved my four night stay! My room was super clean, smelled fresh, so comfy bed, friendly hard working staff, and pool was fabulous. I ordered dinner every night from the restaurant and and so enjoyed the food. The impossible burger with their homemade chips was fab! The buffalo chicken dip with veggies was my favorite appetizer. I plan on returning again.

Clean room and Quiet Surroundings Nice Courtyard
The room was clean and quiet surroundings. I was a bit surprised they do not offer free coffee in the lobby like almost every other hotel I have stayed at. Breakfast was not an option on the Christmas Day which is understandable although the supposed breakfast bag option as offered was not available either. I informed the front desk as well to have housekeeping clean out the microwave by room 155 Ice vending area as a container of food was left inside for quiet sometime, i'll spare posting the photos. Otherwise the pool courtyard was nicely kept and a great place to sit and read a book. All aside I would stay again and do recommend the hotel as the other issues were mostly external to the actual room.
