“Convenient location”

Its centrally located in Harrisburg, close to airport and the downtown.

“Good Deal”

This hotel is very convenient for our needs while in the area. We are return guests to this location. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the rates are extremely reasonable. A great buffet breakfast is also included in the price.

Our recent stay at the Howard Johnson's was very relaxing and the continental breakfast had more than I expected. would definitely go back.

“Worst hotel EVER!”

I will never stay at a Howard Johnson again At 1am someone tried to enter our room with a key. Thankfully I always do the chain lock because the dead bolt apparently didn't work. When I went down to the front desk to find out what happened the guy working the desk said he accidentaly gave someone the wrong key code. My question is what would have happened if he gave the wrong person the wrong key code? Would I still be here to write this review?

“Good Place”

This hotel is convenient for my business destination (Palmyra, PA) and the Harrisburg airport. It is an older hotel, but it is very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Budget wise I am happy with the price. I have been traveling to this area for five years now on business and finally found a place to stay for all my trips.

“A lovely experience”

I never saw the surrounding neighborhood as I only rode on highways to get back and forth to Montgomery, PA.

“You get what you pay for...”

The entire facility is aging and in need of some care outside of making it look current (eg. the grout in the bathroom tiles was loose, the handle for the sliding glass door was broken off, the wall paper was peeling...). In addition the bathroom was dirty (hair and filth in the corners) and there was trash outside on the balcony from previous occupants. The beds were clean and comfortable though. The front desk was polite and the free continental breakfast had much more variety than I had expected. The room served its purpose for a quick overnight stay for weary Hershey Park enthusiasts. I would not go back again however.

“1972 revisited”

The breakfast was decent, the room was clean and the staff was friendly, but the room was furnished from That 70's show, ala 1972. There was no desk, had to use the night stand for my laptop. Internet was poor at best. Didnt see any mold, but room had a very musty smell as did the hallways, and the outside doors were left open the whole time there. An industrial fan was in one hallway downstairs and running, apparently to get rid of the moisture. Had 2 nights booked, left after one night and found another hotel.

“A Nightmare”

For starters, Never Again! The hallways smelled like cat urine. Thr bathtub and walls hade pink and black mold. The shower curtain and sheets were yellow (suppose to be white) There was an infestation of stink bugs in the window curtain, the sliding door was rusted shut and the tracks were filled with dead bugs anf dirt. The tv and about a half an inch of dust. The microwave had someone elses spaghetti sauce and the fridge had mold around the edges. The plumbing was terrible, backed up sink and tub. The continental breakfast is what put me over the edg that I actually slept on the couch of a friends hotel room even though I paid for the Howard Johnson room anyway. The waffle makers were covered with a months worth of batter ( I was the 1st one to attempt to use it that day so I know it was left over and never cleaned) the milk dispenser was crusty from sour milk and there were a ton of flies all over the food even though it was enclosed in glass. I would never stay there again. I am so suprised that the board of health has not yet closed it down.
