Pet friendly

Older building with some parts needing paint and repairs, but generally reasonable clean quiet at night near the interstate. Only charge an extra $20.00 to have a dog.

Definitely not Quality

Posted Aug 24, 2013
Pros: The personnel were very friendly & helpful. There were plenty of restaurants near the hotel.
Cons: The upkeep and updating of the facility.
Location: The location of the hotel is very convenient to shopping, grocery stores, gas stations & main streets.
Of my many stays in hotels this one was quite surprising for a Quality Inn. The outside of the building was in need of sprucing up and general upkeep. The attention to details was definitely lacking. I noticed a very strong odor in the room when first arriving. I turned on the AC in hopes of clearing the odor. I attempted to sleep but couldn't after developing a severe headache. The desk attendant came to the room, and found it necessary to change rooms at 1:30AM due to the strong odor. The room d├ęcor of both rooms had newer furniture and TV. The walls had patched wall paper and some holes exposed. The bathrooms were very outdated with mold spots in the grouted tub/shower area and the enamel peeling from the tub around the drain. Someone had attempted to fill in holes/scratched/dented areas of the doors with very poor quality of the work.

Last resort

Pros: The check in girl
Cons: a new hotel in a better location
Location: Main Street, York near Buffalo Wild Wings
Off the main highways through York, PA and I forgot that it existed. The check in clerk was very nice but no too quick to get me in and processed. She changed my room to one near the office as I inquired about wireless but the signal was so week regardless that my tablet was useless. The rooms are old and need to get out of the 70's.

Pretty nice

Posted Jul 11, 2013
The wifi didn't work because we where on the other side of the building. So I asked and they handed me a box to plug into the wall that provides a wired Internet. I have iPads and smartphones. I did not have a laptop with me. The room was pretty clean exept the head board had finger prints all over them.

Gettysburg

Posted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: nearby food and gas, very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: pool needs to be cleaned more often, maybe some hot foods added to the breakfast bar
Location: had to drive 1 hour to get to Gettysburg and back again so we did get to see the other towns on the way and also farms
not as close to Gettysburg as we had planned to be but worked out OK. We had to drive an extra 1 hour each way.

Needs renovation

Posted Jul 8, 2013
This hotel needs upgrade/renovation. The bed is reasonably comfortable and TV and microwave are OK. But, everything else needs renovation and upgrade. The free high-speed internet was included in the room rate, but its signal was week and slow and we had problems connecting to it. One good thing is that a hotel guest receives 10% discount at the Guadaljala Mexican restaurant on the premises.

OK place to stay

Posted Jul 7, 2013
Pros: The staff was really friendly. The breakfast was good. Close to restaurants and shopping.
Cons: They really need to update the rooms in the motel. The motel itself is old. The bathrooms could really use a remodel.
Location: Gettysburg. Amish country. Philadelphia. Lots of restaurants and shopping.
We stayed here while we visited the Gettysburg 150th anniversary since all motels were booked and York is close to Gettysburg. I would not recommend this motel for families. Maybe a single person or a couple that just needs a place to stay for the night. The motel is safe, but if cleanliness and appearance is what is important to you, then this is not a place for children.

Decent for your basic night stay

Posted Jun 4, 2013
Basic Hotel. It is what you expect. The outside is perfect but the rooms are nice, beds are comfortable and there's easy access to places to eat and shop.
