OK hotel close to fairgrounds

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Hotel is old and the first room I had was in the oldest part. It was very run down and noisy. Unfortunately i had mistakenly booked a smoking room instead of non smoking. The staff did their best to find a no smoking room which they did for my 2nd and 3rd nights and that was great. In the 2nd room the TV blew up but the next day they found me a new TV. The staff were very helpful and the new room was fine.

Good for the Price

I would not say that I had a great room, but it certainly was fine for my needs. I needed a place to stay that was located conveniently to the venue I was attending and I didn't want to spend a lot of money for it. A place to sleep and shower then take off. It was perfect. Not a total dump....just a little dated. Heat and AC worked fine. Had hot water and a fridge and micro wave in the room. I would certainly stay there again. The surrounding area was very nice...plenty of places to eat, get fuel and any items you may need for your trip. Not impressive but totally satisfied.

Avoid this place. REALLY !!!!

TV remote was defective. No cups in room. No coffee maker in room. Blanket looked like they took it from a homeless person. Sparse continental breakfast. Not worth the money. Owned by the Patel family. Roadway must have sold this old hotel, definately not a corp. run hotel.

Terrible service

Continental breakfast is a joke. Hotel staff could not speak English fluently and apparently did not know to refill depleted items. Even though I asked several times they let me wait 30 mins and still did not replenish the items. Instead they began to clean the dining area promptly at 9am and when I asked again they explained it was too late. I tried to speak with the desk clerk but he also did not speak English well. Very frustrating. I got the impression they felt Americans are stupid because they kept smiling at me and laughing amongst themselves. One staff member used the syrup container to cover his mouth when coughing...gross. Wifi is free except the signal was very poor and I was unable to sign on. I called the front desk and was told they would reset it, but the problem never got resolved. I wouldn't stay there again. Fortunately there are many hotels in that area to choose from and McDonalds down the street for breakfast.

A noisy warm night

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: bed
Cons: Air conditioner and plumbing.
A loud air-conditioner with even louder groans every 3 - 5 minutes, but no cooling. The sink faucet sprayed all over but the sink. The bed was nice enough, and the breakfast was ok.

For the price, very comfortable and well equipped!

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: I had low expectations, but the breakfast variety, water pressure and temperature, AC power, quality of linen and friendly staff blew me away.
Cons: Ensure all rooms have room numbers, replace curtains to brighten the room.
It was just a place to hang our hats during a long 2 day trip. I had low expectations given the price, but was pleasantly surprised. Furnishings were outdated and the room was missing its room number, but everything was in surprisingly good order! It was clean, the hot water was hot and the cold was cold, good pressure, great in-room coffee, extremely warm and helpful staff - it felt like old friends. The mattresses and pillows were well used, but the quality of sheets/towels made up for it.
