Fine if you have low expectations

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Right on the highway so it's loud. Commercial area so lights on bright into the windows all night. Decent breakfast. Worn and run down room. If I hadn't gotten a great price if be very disappointed. As is it was functional.

Traveling south

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Proximity to interstate
Cons: A little more than a package roll and coffee for advertised breakfast.
Location: N/A
The motel was easy to find from the interstate. We were not staying in Carlisle only passing through.

Get what you pay for.

This hotel was as expected. You get what you pay for. It was centrally located, close to the highway, offered a decent breakfast spread and was very reasonably priced. However, the air conditioning was broken in my room (the hallway was cooler than my room), the room had a moldy/musty odor, and the bare minimum was offered as far as toiletries. In the end, I feel I got exactly what I paid for.

Motel needs some TLC

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: It was close to the Carlisle Fairgrounds (2.4 miles)
Cons: The whole place needs refurbished. The rooms are non-smoking, but you can still smell stale smoke in the fabrics in the hallways.
Location: Antique shops, Walnut Bottom Restaurant - GREAT, Williams Grove Speedway, Carlisle Fairgrounds
The people in charge are very hard to understand because of their accent. There was a section of the bathroom ceiling that the finish plaster had fallen off and there was mold. The bathtub had a ring of dirt around the bathmat. The continental breakfast is a joke - two kinds of bread, a waffle maker, a small basket of cinnamon rolls, some fruit and yogurt. On Saturday morning the cinnamon roll basket was empty by 7:45am. No sure if it ever got refilled.

Stayed there 2 nights. After night 1, reported the refrigerator wasn't working and they did not fix it. Also tried to make a cup of coffee and the maker leaked.

Budget hotel- no frills.

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Inexpensive, near by, friendly service and good housekeeping.
Cons: Sheets and towels- better air quality on smoking floors.
Location: In Carlisle- near highway and the schools in town-
Inexpensive. Pretty clean- towels were a little ratty, smoking floor was suffocating. I'm used to a bit fresher even in smoking accommodations. Sheets had burn holes and felt like sandpaper. AC worked well, house keeping was fine. Staff was polite. The hole place needs a renovation- kind of worn. No problems to speak of. It's not the Ritz but more comfortable sheets and newer towels would have earned the 4th star.

Staff was friendly. Room was nice and clean. It was in a good location, easy to find and very convenient. It isn't new or fancy but the breakfast waffles were good and coffee was great. Overall it was a very good motel ~ we were only there for sleeping and showering.

Place to sleep.

Great location for access to Carlisle Fairgrounds. Have stayed there four times. Comfortable beds - better than sleeping in your car. Recommed Walnut Diner for breakfast and dinner - walking distance.
