“Quaint week in York @ the Yorktowne Hotel”

The hotel is historic and well restored. Very interesting area. It is located in the downtown business district. Due to the down economy, many of the eateries are out of business. There were limited places to eat without driving. We wish we had known that before staying in the downtown area as we would have chosen a different location. The hotel staff was accomodating and courteous.

“Great hotel if you need to stay in York, PA”

This is a beautifully restored hotel where all the service people were very accomodating. I would not recommend the Off-Center restaurant connected to it, though. The service was good, but the breakfast we had there was terrible.

“Older historic hotel, enthusiastic accomodating staff.”

I use the term enthusiastic because whenever a question was posed to the staff, they attempted to give you a variety of choices in any matter posed before them. That is what I received from the concierge, the parking staff, the maintenance staff, etc. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend anyone to stay there and look forward to returning.

I've been staying at the Yorktowne for over 25 years and always enjoy it. It's a classic small-city hotel that has maintained its original charm and appearance. The hotel's restaurant, the Commonwealth Room, is superior, and likewise reminds you of the way things were "in the good old days."

“Nice historic hotel”

Was in town to visit a college student at York. Enjoyed the hotel and the casual restaurant. Impressed to see the Iron Chef of Pennsylvania ran the kitchen there.

From the first contact at the parking valet service, onto Registration and getting into my room of preference, the experience of staying at the Yorktowne Hotel is one I look forward too time and time again. Flawless. This was my 4th stay in three years and just cannot say enough about how well I've been treated there as a guest each time. Extra kudos and a shout out to the staff and in particular to Ray at the registration desk who always makes me feel welcome. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling within 50 miles of the York ,PA area just for the experience of one of the finest American Great Historic Hotels. It's just simply that good.!!!
