You get what you pay for. This property is close to Shawnee National Forest Locations but this isn't a high star hotel. It seems to be newly renovated but some cleaning services leave much to be desired. Tub had a huge wad of hair clogging up the drain and some of the mattress covers were questionably "clean" and looked spotty. Hallway outside the room is very echoey. The staff here were amazing and check in/out was very easy. The location of the hotel is tucked behind some parking lots with not a lot of food options nearby. If you plan on just having a place to sleep while visiting the park this place is pretty decent.

Propery canceled my reservation without notifying Expedia or notifying me at check-in. Wasn't until I involved Expedia that the cancellation was admitted. Stay away from this property if you use Expedia or need a valid reservation.

THIS IS THE WORST MOTEL IN MY 58 YRS,IVE EVER BEEN IN.NO HEATER,BED BUGS,I NEEDED A PLACE TO STAY,PAID FOR TWO NIGHTS,I STAYED 3 HRS AND I WOULD RATHER HAVE JUST STAYED IN MY CAR.AND THEY DID NOT REFUND MY MONEY FOR THE SECOND DAY,WHEN I STAYED 3 HRS.ALSO NO SMOKING CIGARETTES, BUT THE POT SMELL WAS EVERYWHERE.

Everything was fine except...
Only issues were heater stopped working on the 2nd day and started working on the day we checked out. There was a dirty towel left on the bathroom floor, behind the door.

Great Option
Front desk staff Linette is on point! She's very well trained, so friendly, helpful and patient. The rooms are very large. Very nicely maintained, clean, comfortable beds. Weirdly the book lights on the outsides of the beds dont work so sorry, I guess its Audible for those on the outsides. Overall a very good stay. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning!

Depressing Experience
The on-desk manager was horrible. She was unfriendly, downright rude at times, non-accommodating and non-responsive. When told that a lamp in the room was not working properly, she said she would be right down, but never showed up. She was very insensitive when we inquired about our cell phones not working: "that's not our problem." She was totally insensitive to our obvious displeasure with the dingy condition of the room and general interior of the building (very unappealing). In fact, the ceiling in the hallway in front of our room was dangerously sagging. The exterior of the building lacked any landscaping and was very distracting. Her specific response to our displeasure was a very curt: "want your money back?" We were very pleased to answer: YES.

Weekend away.
The beds were super comfortable. The property in general (carpeting, outside, etc) is worn and dated. But everyone was super friendly and clean. Breakfast was lacking (only cold cereal and prepackaged danish), you know, I guess since Covid you can get away with that. We found a really nice coffee shop downtown with excellent breakfast sandwiches!

Everything about the stay was about average, but the breakfast was very disappointing. Both coffee and juice were very watery, and there was nothing else but cereal and rather sad-looking doughnuts. There was only fruit put out on our first day. The whole place has something of an old, dark feel to it. The staff was fairly nice.

Staff was great they did the best they could with what they have. However owner of this property really should make some changes as far as updates not even upgrades but fixing it to standards. Bathroom door wouldn’t close you could feel the moisture in the air in the room. Breakfast is muffins and cereal.

Definitely avoid this one
The room the first night had 2 bulbs out over the sink, no kleenex, and shredded sheer curtain. Got a different room the second night and the toilet was actuality dirty. The breakfast was actually horrible. We will never stay here again when we return to Harrisburg.

When we first got there, our room had not been cleaned, we went to front desk and the lady there got us a room that was ready and went and checked the other room.

Accomodations fine...but "breakfast" is a joke!
Hotel was fine but quite expensive for what you're getting! Staff was friendly. Only complaint is that it says "free breakfast" which was only coffee, juice, a packaged honeybun and an apple. It's time for hotels to quit using COVID as an excuse for this. They should definitely remove "breakfast" from their website.

Safety concern
Don't stay in room 118. We stayed in this room last spring and the bed still has a big dip in center of it. The top safety latch on the door inside was broken off and the side entrance door was broken. The side entrance door didn't close all the way unless you pulled it shut so that means anyone could have walked in without the key card to open the door.

Easy, friendly check in. Room was clean and comfortable and received prompt attention for a minor problem with the TV remote!!

The receptionist was very friendly. The hotel was clean along with the rooms. Would recommend staying here and will be back next year when we go to Redneck Rumble
