I paid for one night with the insurance, by credit card, in advance. The reservation was made thru Expedia. I then phoned the hotel personally to confirm the details. On arrival hotel demanded another $100 as a security deposit. That seems an exorbitant amount , and I would have expected a security deposit to be collected with the reservation cost, not sprung on an unsuspecting guest at arrival.

The room was cleaned really well. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. They even helped me pick out my dinner. It was quiet and kept up. It was a very comfortable stay. This will be my permanent place of residence from here on out when I'm in town. THANKS FOR THE AMAZING STAY!

Welp , it’s not situated in the most beautiful view. Towels have seen better days. Dogs urinating on the bushes entrance to front door, tho that was on the dog owner for allowing it. Go out to the streets, good grief. Overall average.

Staff was great. However, the walls are thin. People came in at 11:30 pm above us and beside us. Beside us talking and slamming doors for an hour. Above us, jumping and running up and down the floor. We called the front desk to complain And the noise above stopped shortly thereafter.

There was many things in the room that needed fixing - walk-in shower in the handicapped bathroom was juried rigged and was not able to have the shower o your body without holding the shower head. Screw on the door hinges was coming out and HVAC system did not work properly. This is not what I expect for a Microtel - I have stayed at other Microtel in several states and this is the worst one I have ever stayed in.

Another Solid Microtel Stay
Microtel is always a solid stay for us. The hotel is clean, pet-friendly, comfortable, and competitively priced with a decent breakfast included. It is conveniently located right off I-81 but you won’t hear the noise from the highway. Front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. This past stay, we were given a room with a handicapped shower (not sure why?), and it was a bit of a less comfortable shower. The breakfast room ran out of eggs before 8 am … Otherwise, it was fine.
