Clean, convenient, pet friendly hotelPosted Nov 15, 2013
Pros: Clean and well-managed.
Location: It's in my recommendation.
This pet-friendly hotel is right off I-81 in Harrisonburg. I found it very clean, comfortable, and well-run in a safe location. It has a decent fitness center, and it's located within easy walking distance of big shopping centers with everything you might need for the night or a cross country trip: groceries, gas, restaurants and more. I especially appreciated the reasonable $15 pet fee when compared with the other pet-friendly hotel in town that's no more convenient--the non-refundable charge there was $100.

Very clean hotel at JMUPosted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: Everything! Cleanliness, staff, breakfast, Internet
Location: Standing in front of the hotel you can see everything. There are countless restaurants and stores. Anything you need is within walking distance!!!
My husband and I attended a conference at JMU and needed a place to stay overnight. We arrived at 9:30 pm and were quickly checked in. The lobby was very very bright and cute. We stayed in room 213 and my first thought walking in was that it was one of the cleanest hotel rooms I'd ever stayed in. The room was nicely decorated with just the right amount of furniture so that the room wasn't crowded. The internet service was FAST! and this is very important to us since we were there for work. The bed was very comfortable (with lots of pillows!) and the next morning the water pressure in the shower was great (even better than at home). We checked out the next morning at 8:00 am with no wait and stopped by the breakfast area for a quick bite to eat. While the dining area was pretty small the type and amount of food was overwhelming. (Waffles, donuts, bagels, cereals, Danishes, juices and coffee, yogurts and hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit.). The breakfast staff was friendly and continuously filling things up. We loved our quick stay and will definitely stay there again when we return.

Room smelled funny. Not the most comfortable bed. Acceptable value for price paid.

Could be betterPosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: Location and the staff were excellent.
Cons: Fix all the things that do not work. Replace old stuff. Add some real pillows.
Location: The location is right near the downtown. All the restaurants and places of interest are nearby.
I stayed only one night, so not much to say. Only thing that caught my eyes is that the pillows were not really pillows to sleep, those were like cushions, did not like that. Tub was dirty and old, the rust was showing. The bathroom door was not locking. They really need to check the facility and fix problems.

It wasn't as fancy as some hotels but it gave us everything we needed and everything was in good condition.
