Recommended: We travel to London 4 or 5 times a year. We always try to stay at the Lancaster London. When we checked in two weeks ago I was not happy with the condition of the room we were given. The wall paper was old and not in good repair and the entire room had a tired look. In all the years we have stayed there it was the first time I have not been happy with the room. I called the desk and was immediately moved to another room which had a great view and was in excellent condition. I have always found the staff very helpful. A plus is that there is on site parking and the Lascaster Gate tube stop on the Central line is adjacent to the hotel. Since I travel with only a small case I can walk the 3 blocks from Paddington Station to the hotel in less than 10 minutes. It is located right across the street from Hyde Park and there are small cafes and restaurants nearby where you get good breakfasts. See all reviews for this hotel
London Elizabeth Hotel
Area: London
Traveler opinion: 4.3 out of 5

Recommended: Our room was a bit smaller and the decor was a bit older than I expected, but we were very happy with this hotel and our stay. The location was extremely convenient yet away from the hustle and bustel, the staff were very helpful and pleasant, the bathroom was bigger than expected, and the free contintental breakfast was very nice and convenient. The bed wasn't the most comfortable thing I've ever slept on, but it was ok and the room was very quiet (except for some boisterous neighbors who came in at 2 am). See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: This was our 1st trip as a family to London. My wife, our 10-yr old daughter, and me. I've been to London 5-6 times before for business but had never stayed at Royal Park before. The location is excellent - within a couple blocks of Paddington station, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and Lancaster Gate Tube stop. We made the walk to and from the hotel from Paddington easily with our luggage in tow. The staff was friendly, eager to help, and actually very helpful. We were very pleased with the staff. Having been to London several times before and Europe many times, this hotel exceeded our expectations for value, comfort, and service. We tried to get an extra night, but they were unfortunately booked. My wife is still raving about the bed there. The cot for our daughter was more than enough, and the room was big enough. We highly recommend this hotel and will stay there whenever we return to London. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: The hotel was great, very nice lobby and restaurant. The guest room was large. People were very friendly. Hotel close to Natural History and V&A. Tube stop right across the street. Recommended: We had a wondeful time in London and a big part of that was our hotel. Big room, great bathroom. and the best service imaginable. Tons of ethnic restaurants that provided fine dining. Convenient location with access to Underground just up the street. Would stay there again. Kudos to the personnel who were very helpful. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: The staff was very polite and very helpful. We had an issue with not being able to understand how to use the shower. The information card was not hanging on the shower head so we could see it. The card had been placed under the large towels on the rack. The maintainence man was VERY helpful in explaining the details and brought us an information card. However, the card had only a diagram for two of the knobs. There were four things to manipulate in order to get the water flow and temperature to function. We had to have instructions on how to use the switches on the wall that controlled the electricity to the plugs on the wall. We also needed instructions on how to operate the heat/ac control. The office staff was not clear about how to work the heat/ac control. The maintenance man told us the ac was off because it was winter; the recptionist failed to tell us this fact. Once these issues were solved, we loved our stay and would choose this hotel again. Hotel breakfast was fabulous, but pricey. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: FABULOUS, fabulous, fabulous!!! The Landmark was a highlight of our visit to London. Across the street from the tube which contained many shops and kiosks to purchase items when we did not want to spend the time or money on hotel fare. The rooms were a nice size, very clean and the beds were comfy. The Landmark is easily accessible to all parts of London by tube and bus....on the major tour routes.... and the staff were wonderful and ever so helpful but not overbearing. The Landmark is not only beautiful. but peaceful. I highly reccomend it for vacations or business travel....you can't go wrong at this hotel! See all reviews for this hotel
