One of our aims when we built the hotel was to create a clear contrast to the stress and noise of the airport. So despite its proximity to the terminal building, the soundproofed hotel is a nice, peaceful refuge.

Many of our guests choose to stay here if they have an early flight the next morning. We serve a full buffet breakfast from 5am.

The hotel interiors feature furnishings and fabrics by Swedish names such as Kasthall, Marks Pelle Vävare and Hästens. The art on the walls often piques our guests’ interest, and they are pleased to hear that they are exclusively by Swedish artists such as Bengt Olsson, Lennart Jirlow, Peter Dahl, Oscar Reuterswärd, Mona Huss Wallin and Lena Linderholm.

We offer various sizes of guest room for different requirements, including single rooms, double rooms, a family room and a suite.

All rooms, no matter which type, feature parquet flooring, a fully tiled bathroom with tub, a generous workstation, a trouser press, an iron, complimentary mineral water and a TV with free movie channels.

Most of our rooms are non-smoking, although some smoking rooms are available. Safety is a top priority and all rooms have a traceable fire alarm, an electronic locking system and a spyhole.

“Don't be a business traveler, if you want to use this hotel”

Normal hotel that is not attached to the airport but in walking distance, about 7 minutes. The hotel is nothing glamorous, but has a modern Swedish charm to it. Internet is provided. The room was standard and was correct in size. Breakfast buffet was elaborate and had many choices. The food was good. Caution! If you are a business traveler and want to have dinner at the restaurant, be warned, the use of cellular devices as laptops is forbidden at this hotel. When a business associate and I arrived to have dinner and to have a business discussion, we asked for a bigger table to so we could work on it. We received a table for four and the two extra settings where removed promptly. After we ordered, we started looking at some drawings and chart on my laptop, when we where notified, that the use of cell phones and laptops is not allowed in the restaurant. We where both shocked and requested to have more information about that. All we got back, we just don't like it and it is the restaurants policy. There was no sign or comment at the entrance when we arrived, that would notify us of such policy. The waitress was not very accommodating and only said after we complaint, she will forward the complaint to their weekly meeting. That was the top of the iceberg and we both agreed, never to return to such a establishment. I have never heard been treated worst then at this dinner and can only recommend, if you want to have a good dinner, stay away from this place.

Area recommendations

Stay downtown if you can, it is much nicer, has lots of good restaurants to offer and is only about 25 minutes by airport bus to reach.

“Nice Airport Hotel”

This hotel is first class and walking distance to the terminal. Rooms were very clean and included a good buffet breakfast and parking. Shuttle service to the terminal is also provided. Would definately recommend this hotel.

“Not impressed”

The location is very good. It apperas that they do not provide courtesy van after 10AM till evening. In our case they oblized for providing van to drop us at the terminal.

“Landvetter Hotel Rooms Without a View”

Very nice hotel. However, the room that I received was up one flight of stairs, then down 2 long hallways, down a flight of stairs and in a small hallway with about 5 other rooms. The room was very nice and clean but in the "basement"of the hotel and very difficult to get to - especially for anyone that has trouble walkin gor with stairs.

“Excellent choice”

This hotel was a great fit for us. Clean and quiet, perfectly located for the painfully early direct commuter flight to London. The complimentary breakfast was quite plentiful and delicious. I wish we'd had more time to enjoy it, but we did not, & the shuttle that ran every 10 minutes zipped us over to the departure area (we really could have walked). I had turned in our rental car early to save precious morning time and easily walked the approximately 1 block distance over to the hotel. Very quiet, staff was lovely, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Area recommendations

Liseberg, the amusement park, was quite lovely and the kids loved it.

“Super Convenient to the Airport”

We selected this hotel for the convenience to the airport - it's literally just a few minutes walk to the terminal. The room was large and clean. The only drawback was the shower - it was a small tub that wasn't attached to the wall, so even with the curtain tucked in water splashed behind and flooded the floor. My husband was happy with the gym. You can't get anything but snack food outside of the regular meal times, but you can always pop over to the airport and eat there. We had an amazing dinner in the hotel restaurant. It was pricey, but worth it both in terms of quality of meal and in service. (If you prefer to have a sandwich, salad or burger and are concerned about price, I would recommend going over to the airport. You will definitely get your money's worth in the hotel restaurant, but it will be expensive.) It was pouring rain the morning we left so we took advantage of the shuttle to the airport. All in all, this was a great hotel with excellent service. I recommend it, and would definitely stay there again.

Area recommendations

We spent some time in the downtown (centrum) area, and there were plenty of restaurants and shopping venues.
