Pros: I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The gentleman that greeted us was wonderful and very pleasant. The room was very nice especially for $80.
We came in late and left early. The hotel was quiet and clean. We slept well. Breakfast suited our needs. Good options.

More bad than good

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Pros: Hallway was warm. Too bad all vending machines on our floor were out of service . Not very accommodating. Complaining again? I'm sorry.
Cons: The way guests are treated when in the breakfast area. When the staff members sees you approaching and hurries put things away. Be accommodating.
Arrived in subzero temperatures late at night. Our room was warm and toasty to walk into, but became too warm shortly after unpacking. There is no wall mounted thermostat on the other side of the room, only a dial attached to the heating/cooling unit itself. Choice of buttons was either high heat, or auto heat. Being that it was already on auto, I simply turned it from its position of the maximum red zone to the neutral red /blue zone. Exhausted from traveling 6hrs in whiteout conditions , we finally get into bed. Auto heat cycles on and off approximately every 3 minutes . Not conducive to sleep at all. The very best I could do was hit the "fan only" button and turn that dial halfway into the red zone. I got back into bed and without the on/off of auto or intensity of the high heat settings, fell asleep. Woke up and the room was like ice. Love of my life had all the covers because she went into survival mode in her sleep. I hit the button for high heat and again turned knob to max red . It did nothing. We showered and dressed in ice cold room and left for the afternoon expecting that because it's on the highest heat setting, eventually it will cycle and turn on. Wrong. Arrived back approx. 9pm. It's -3 outside and no heat in the room. Maintenance not available for over an hour. No offer of changing rooms. Maintenance arrives and has unit functioning in under 60 seconds. Cause : plug came loose from wall. Explanation : housekeeping bumps into the with vacuum cleaner . 2late

fine for the price, good location for me.

Just stayed the one night. The woman at the front desk was very nice. Did not use the pool or have the complimentary breakfast. Room was fine for the price. I did see a bobby pin and some sunflower seeds on the floor that were not mine. The only thing I did not like was the darker room curtains did not close. I thought that was strange. And, true about the pillows.. very comfy..

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

Posted Nov 26, 2014
Pros: everything
Cons: scrambled eggs
Location: see above
The hotel was clean in appearance, rooms were clean and smelled clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is across the street from a shopping center that has everything that you could want. The restaurant across the street is a great place to eat but have to get there early or the wait could be awhile .

pleasant staff; fash check in

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: nice room
Cons: I have a lot of food allergies so I'm used to having very slim pickings at the breakfast bar, but some fruit or something would have been nice.
nice and efficient night clerk got me checked in quickly to a very large and comfortable room.

Nice hotel. Close to Cracker Barrel.

Pros: Elevator. We didn't have to carry bags up stairs.
We had to attend a wake in nearby town and needed accomodations with little notice. Comfort Inn was the answer.
