Won't go again

Posted Jul 14, 2014
The walls are thin. We could hear a lot of noise from the hallway & other rooms. Beds & bedding were very uncomfortable. Had a towel with stains & the carpet was also stained. The shower spouted water up to the ceiling. Pool was ok, on the 5th floor. Location was ok. Parking is too expensive. Not much to do in Hartford. Expected more from Hilton.

Great convenience to walking most anywhere

Pros: Location exsercise room, indoor pool and the staff
Cons: Sounds very funny but the location of the toilet paper is so hard to reach especially for children !
The Hotel location is so that you can walk to a lot of things. ie: Science Center, restaurants, XL Center, stage productions etc.

1 night stay

It was a nice and simple room. The king bed was great. The bathroom was outdated and not as cleanly as I would have liked it. The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming.

Great hotel, but not as good as expected

Pros: Pool & gym were nice Staff was excellent Location! Shuttle service Parking fee was annoying, but understandable.
Cons: Wipe down the walls and fixtures of construction/touch up mess. Complimentary breakfast of drinks/pastries in the lobby would be nice.
Location: The entire stay was in walking distance: Feng Asian Bistro, City Steam, Hartford Stage, Russian Lady, Bushnell Park, Vaughan's Pub, Ancient Cemetery
For the Hartford area, this Hilton is great compared to other options in the area, although it was not up to my expectations of Hilton Hotels in general. The staff was excellent - friendly, accommodating, informative. They hooked us up with a complimentary shuttle to our local destinations and were very pleasant. The location in Hartford is ideal. The bed was super comfy! However, the building is older and showing it. There was dry wall spackle on the walls and fixtures in the room, which was very odd. The hot tub is really pretty sad - no wonder they don't have any pictures of it on the website, but the pool is alright. Everything we did was in walking distance (other than the complimentary shuttle we took to the Mark Twain House): Feng Asian Bistro, The Hartford Stage, City Steam Brewery, The Ancient Cemetery, Bushnell Park, The Russian Lady, Vaughan's Pub, Cigar shop, etc.

Pretty reasonable, but nothing special.

Pros: good location
Cons: bedding and a/c unit
Location: great restaurants and bars
Hotel was so so - the AC did not work well and the sheets were a little questionable. Plus, 18 bucks to park, not great.

Hotel is outdated. Very noisy crowd even at 2am.

F & F are old esp the bathroom. Very noisy crowd from 11pm to 2am. We almost had to call the front desk. Good thing we only had to stay one night.

Clean and probably your best option in Hartford.

Hey, it's downtown Hartford - what'd you expect? It's not the Peninsula but, for where it is, it's okay.

I paid roughly $289.00 for 1 night and I have stayed at much nicer hotels for half the cost. Rooms are clean but small.
