“Satisfied”
Good Hotel for business stay
“ct on the fly”
great place woked well coming in from the tour
“Pleasant experience.”
Had a good experience here. Loved two restaurants within walking distance - Hot Tomatoes and Turnbull Kitchen. No shopping downtown to speak of, but a good downtown location for sightseeing.
“Good location but run of the mill hotel.”
In Hartford for two nights on business trip. Hotel is within walking distance of good restaurants and convenient. Parking at $13 a night - OK, it is right downtown so you have to expect that. Rooms were clean but HI should spring for new towels - very thin and scratchy. Good bed, crappy pillows. Breakfast was very "eh" - lukewarm egg things called omelets - but good coffee and those cinnamon rolls. All in all, just a "run of the mill" chain hotel that charges too much for what you get in the end.
“Great Hotel Pick!”
Having never been to Hartford Conn. We were pleasantly surprised with the Holiday Inn Express on Asylum Street. From the time we checked in, the well informed staff did so much to welcome us and assure our comfort as guests. The room was very clean, well equipped, comfortable and provided us a fantastic view of the Hartford Capitol Building! The staff (Tanya) helped with directions, restaurants (Salute! YUM) and providing us with what we needed was an extra courtesy! Every staff member I met was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. The breakfast buffet was more than I expected and very tasty. I wish I could say that for the many hotels we have visited. Holiday Inn Express is fulfilling its' comittment in serving the community and the traveling public I await my next return to Hartford with happy anticipation!
“Parking situation”
Little dissapointed that there was an additional charge for parking that was not mentioned when this hotel was booked.
“Unpleasant surprises”
I choose this hotel specifically based on reputation and the reviews. When we arrived at 9:30 PM, there was a block party going on in the rear alley behind the hotel. Very LOUD noise, music.. very annoying. Also, we were charged additional fees. They charge a $50. pet fee and a $13.00 parking fee for overnight, outrageous! The additional $63.00 was a very nasty/expensive surprise. The room was small but clean. Now that I know, I won't choose that hotel chain again.
“Would stay again!”
We had a great time in Hardford! We enjoyed the city &thought it was very clean.
“Not a Nice Hotel At All - even for one night of business travel”
I do not recommend staying at this hotel unless you're here to party at the bars next door. For business, no thank you.
“review what you actually want for accomodations”
I was expecting a hotel, much more modernized. The website indicated that there was a pool, refrig. and micro in the room, and didn't know we had to pay for parking. The staff was wonderful, though! Cheers to them!
