“Extremly convenient!”

We stayed at the hotel (part of the airport) the night before a very early flight. It allowed us to sleep an extra couple of hours! We also stayed at the end of our trip as our homecoming flight was very late at night. Even though the hotel overlooks the runways, and we watched flights arriving and taking off, it was quiet and easy to sleep. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The hotel, which has been there for years, has kept up with amenities and service. The staff was very helpful.

“We are going back in several months.”

The hotel staff could not have been more helpful. They sent several faxes for me and they took us over to our rental car without charging. The bell captain who took us over returned half of the tip I gave him telling me it was too much. I've stayed there several times before, but this was the best in terms of service. Once before we were situated on the "concierge floor" and that was very nice.

Area recommendations

It was at the airport and I'd recommend it for travelers in and out of Hartford.

“Conveniently located attached to the Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks.”

The air-conditioner went on automatically when I entered the room, but the thermostadt did not work. The temperature in the room could not be adjusted during the night. I discovered this problem too late to have maintenance come to the room.

“Sheratn Bradley Int”

The bar is nice and the restaurant was good but they were both pricey. and the restaurant quality was as good as Dennys with a much shorter menu. The room was very comfortable and the amenities and cleaning staff were very helpful. There's not to much to do in the surrounding area. For an overnighter when getting on the plane the next day or when meeting some one from out of town for a quick stop over and face to face it's a nice place.

“Airport Oasis”

I flew in from California for a business meeting in Rockville, CT. Literally flew in Tuesday night, meeting Wednesday and flew out 6 a.m. Thursday (apparently most everyone leaves Hartford Airport at 6 a.m.!). The hotel was recommended to me by my Hartford contact, who did not recommend staying in Rockville or even in downtown Hartford. It was a good recommendation. The hotel was attached to the airport but very quiet, I had a view of the runways and planes but no noise. The hotel is a bit older but it is clean and nicely maintained. There is a convenient and moderately priced restaurant which I ate at 2 nights, very low key and relaxing, and good food. Also the hotel provides a free internet cafe with computers, which I used a lot since I did not bring a laptop. This was a huge bonus. Because I arrived late and left early, I saved a lot of time traveling to/from airport. There is nothing to do there but I had enough to do workwise, or watched tv, used the internet or ate. I would definitely stay there again. Staff very good, too. I had to have my card-key replaced once since it did not work, no problem. I wanted to use the lovely pool but did not have time, it's indoor and looked inviting, also an exercise room. A lot of airline folks stay here as well as travelers, they also have a nice sports bar and tv's in the lounges playing sports.

Area recommendations

There is nothing around the airport, in order to see anything one would have to go to Hartford. I did spend the afternoon in Hartford and got a tour so saw most of what there was. I know there are various museums and other points of interest nearby but did not have time. The Sheraton at the airport is strictly there for convenience for business travelers on short stay trips. Easy in , easy out.

Dining

There is a restaurant downstairs at the Sheraton, nicely appointed and nice staff, no dress code so don't have to get dressed up, I was in jeans both nights I went. The food is good and prices moderate. The first night I had a club sandwich for approx. $11, the second night I had the sea bass for something in the $25 or so range. The food is nicely cooked/prepared. The restaurant is not crowded so you can take your time, I read the paper both nights.

“Great for early morning flights...”

Great price through Expedia, my corporate rate was $85 higher per night (parking for 24 hrs was included in both). I needed to catch a 6AM flight and staying at the airport allowed me to get an extra 2 hours of sleep!

“Before Cabo”

We had a 6:00 a.m. flight out so we stayed the evening before thanks to the price I found on Expedia, otherwise this hotel is VERY pricey and only includes 7 free days of parking and ours totalled 11 the fares for parking are extremely high 17.50 per day.But we live close enough to have been dropped off.The hotel is very clean rooms are nice some like ours overlook the airport which is really cool to watch the planes come in and out.

Traveler's tip

AS I mentioned parking is very expensive here if you can get dropped off and picked up we really saved by finding this price on Expedia.
