“Second experience”
An economical Motel.
“Good place to spend the night after a busy day”
When we go on vacation what we want is to make the most of our time to explore around and go places. That said what we need a hotel for is basically to clean up and recharge our batteries. And this one did its job pretty well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Plus you get a free basic breakfast (coffee, milk, juice, toast and cereal) what helps you save a few bucks. Overall it was a good saty, I could even say it exceeded my expectations.
“the worst hotel ever stayed”
really bad
“Very cheap, very tired hotel to just crash. NOTHING fancy.”
If you just want a cheap place to crash, this is the place. The staff were very nice and accommodating to me after I finished a race, and let me check out very late. But, this was a very old, tired, poorly renovated hotel. Most of the equipment there was broken or not being used. The Breakfast bar had no juice, and only basic bread/cereal/milk offerings. There is wifi, but I constantly was getting attacked by hackers trying to hook up to my computer. I know that the hotel had nothing to do with it, but it shows you that this place is located on the seedier side of town. Again, cheap place to crash, but don't expect anthing fancy.
“WORST HOTEL EVER!!!!! 3rd world countries are cleaner”
Worst hotel ever!!! Everything that could be dirty was dirty/stained. The entire room smelled of a chain smoker, the bed was filled with bugs/blood. Fruit flies were everywhere. There was crumbs in areas that vacuum cleaners did not reach. There were no screens on the windows. Service was terrible. There was not even enough breakfast. There was only pieces of white toast and a few boxes of cereal. Overall worst hotel ever and we spent the last night sleeping in the airport as opposed to sleeping in the bug infested-chain smoking-non-breakfast motel. At my earliest convenience I will be contacting the health department. Thanks!
“Walking distance to Comcast Theatre”
The staff at front desk was helpful when we asked to move our room closer to car but I have come here 5 times already and the pillows are so terrible, they are very thin you need at least 3 pillows per person. There is nothing near this hotel except the concert venue which is the reason why we go here. The perfect spot to tailgate and when its time to go to the concert you can walk there very easily. This hotel is perfect for concert goers but if your looking to be closer to the city of Hartford not the place to go.
“Went back the following week”
It was superb especially compared to the America's choice hotel in the same neighborhood that I had stayed at the week before.
“Dirtiest room I've ever been in.”
I am a non-smoker and have no problem with smoking rooms, the smell usually isn't too bad. But the room I had that day had a smell like no other. And it wasn't just smoke, it had a seriously dirty smell. As I walked around, more like stepped as there wasn't much room to walk, I noticed the ripped curtains with what I hope was dark paint, the questionable stains on the desk chair and the broken desk. As I called other hotels to see if there were any vacancies I put my hand on the wall and felt what looked like to be the remenants of a soda someone had thrown. They must have had a six pack or a big gulp, cause it was splattered on every wall. The bathroom was the nicest part, even though it looks like the shower rod had been pulled down 10 times. Besides the bullet proof glass in the lobby, I had a good feeling going up to my room. But once inside I can say that I was throughly disgusted. If any other hotels would have had vacancies I would have been content packing up my things and leaving. Unfortunately there was no such luck and it was the first time I slept in my clothes at a hotel. Needless to say that is one that I will never return to again.
“close to where we wanted to be”
price was a little high and the place smelled bad, but other than that place was o.k. not a place i would bring children. beds and rooms were good, tho.
“Best Overnight Stay for concerts at Comcast Arena”
This was a very nice hotel. It was really a pleasant surprise how nice it was. I was expecting a fleabag but it was actually nicer than some boutique hotels I've stayed in. The room was unbelievably clean and very big. The lobby was clean and well-lit and had an attendant posted 24/7. Everything in the vending machines was only $1. Free breakfast was offered from 6am-9am though I did not partake because I woke up late, so I don't know how the food was. The front desk attendants were helpful and friendly. The TV did not have a wide array of channels and the reception was kind of crappy, but I came for a concert in the Comcast arena so didn't have much time to watch TV anyway. The only issue I had was that there are no restaurants within walking distance. The lobby had several take-out menus to choose from. If you stay here avoid PIZZA 101. They took an hour and a half to deliver and showed up with a pizza I did not order. Dominos was better but still took an hour to deliver. Overall if I want to go to CT to see a concert at Comcast I would stay here again. The hotel is only about 4 blocks from the arena, it's very convenient, especially for the price. If you are coming by bus or train, the local Yellow Cab service will get you to the hotel in less than 10 minutes for about 10 bucks, and they are always ready & waiting nearby so the wait time for the cab to get to you is less than 5 minutes. Hope this was helpful to you!
