Good value, not far from downtown

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was a nice value add for such a low price.
Cons: Repair the entrance gates since the area doesn't appear to be in the best part of town. Repair the ice machines.
While definitely not a fancy hotel by any stretch of the imagination, it provides good value for decent proximity to downtown New Orleans.

Outside looks nice...deceiving!

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: I liked the kindness of the staff even though we were dissatisfied.
Cons: Cleanliness, maintenance issues
Location: We didn't stay long enough to find out.
We had booked 3 rooms for 2 nights and checked out the morning after the first night...roaches in bed, rat trap under bed, door knob to bathroom broken from inside, sink faucet came up off of counter top when you turned on the water, bath tub clogged, room smelled like mold and mildew and air wasn't on when we got in so room was hot and muggy,

Woke up around midnight and found millipede-like bugs all over our room. We quickly changed rooms. Be prepared to be woken up at 8:30 AM everyday by the cleaning ladies. They won't knock on your door until 10:30, but they will be loudly gossiping outside your door starting at 8:30 every day.

Poor

Neighborhood was horrible and beds were as old as New Orleans. And to top it off they charge me twice on my card and had to go through the trouble of making a claim to my bank.

Great budget hotel

Posted Mar 27, 2015 on Hotels
The staff is great. They were very accommodating. The shuttle service to the ferry is awesome. They also will call a cab for you and will give you great suggestions for things to do, eat, etc.. The hotel needs a little updating. The neighborhood is a bit scary, to be honest, but we had no trouble.
