We had two queen room. One of the mattress was fine. The other was not level; higher on one side.

We stayed at the Hilton in Hattiesburg a week

Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Bathroom had no fan or exhaust
Location: Nothing to do. We had business at the University.
We had business in Hattiesburg MS and stayed at the Hilton for a week. While not a destination city we were treated well by the staff and residents in the community. This hotel has a fine bar and breakfast dining area. We enjoyed the $10.00 omelets each morning. Rooms were small but accommodating. Internet was functioning and there is a business center.

This was a last minute reservation on our way to the Gulf for vacation. The hotel was excellent. Will definitely stay again our next time though Hattiesburg.

Stayed here for overnight rest stop enroute to Florida coast. Sleep Number bed was a nice bonus after the long drive

Nice hotel, but a few problems.

Pool area and fitness center were unclean. No fresh towels available in the pool area. Food and used towels on the floor in the fitness center. TV in the fitness center didn't work. Otherwise a nice hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good.

We checked in really late. It took about 15 minutes to get the hotel front desk clerk to appear. It wasn't a problem; I wouldn't be at my best at 2 am either.

Nice room, rude clerk

Pros: The hotel was located in a good area and was clean.
Cons: Ask the staff, especially the staff at the front desk, not to be rude to guests.
Location: It is located in a very good area near many restaurants. It is also located near several shopping areas including a Gander Mountain.
Our hotel room was nice and clean, although the mattress on the bed seemed to have a big dip in the very middle. We were checked in quickly and with no problem. However, my husband was wanting to watch a certain football game on the TV that happened to be playing on the TV in the lobby when we entered the hotel. After not being able to find the right channel on the TV in our room, he called the front desk. The lady at the front desk rudely remarked, "she wasn't a promoter" when my husband asked what channel the game was on. He then told her it was on the TV in the lobby that was right in front of her. She then checked the TV and told my husband what channel to tune to. It really wasn't a big deal, but there was no call for the very rude remark.

Worst room ever from an HGI

Over the last 8-10 years, I have tried to stay at HGI as much as possible. I can honestly say this was the worst condition I've ever seen in an HGI. The staff was friendly, no problems there, but the room was what you would expect in a low budget hotel. The bathroom literally smelled like a public restroom. The room looked well used...it was clean, but needed to seriously be updated. I will not stay here again.
