We stopped off for one night whilst travelling. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. Modern and clean. Comfortable bed and good shower room. No relaxing sitting in the bedroom but we spent a pleasant evening in the dining area downstairs. No tea making facilities in the room but a coffee machine and microwave by the reception are available. Dogs can be let out in a small garden in front of the hotel and there’s seating there weather permitting;). Breakfast was buffet style with a good choice. Min punt bacon and eggs were greasy and stodgy. But there was enough choice not to miss them. All in all recommend this place.

Arrived late in the evening with a reservation made via Expedia for 2 x three-person bedrooms. The puzzled receptionist said the hotel did not even do three-person bedrooms, and so told us that she would try and contact her boss to find out what to do. An extra bed was eventually found and put in one of our rooms. Building work was also going on adjacent to the room our children were staying in.

Good hotel for a short stay
A decent place to stay not too far from the Colmar city centre. I would recommend this hotel only if you have your own transportation otherwise it is very difficult to go to and fro. The room was rather small but it was clean and well kept. The bathroom was very old and the lighting was a little dull. Nevertheless, we had a great lake view from the room and the staff was very friendly. Room was cleaned everyday and the breakfast was also good.

Good hotel for an en-route stop
Great stop for a halfway point from UK to Italy - clean, good value, quiet, free parking, easy to get to highway, many local restaurants, room was clean and air conditioned with free fast WiFi.

Convenient clean stopover
This chain of budget hotels in Eastern France are really convenient and consistently keep the same standard up. The rooms are not large but very practical, air conditioned and have excellent showers! They have recently been taken over by another hotel chain...we just hope they do not mess about with the current ethos!!

Overnight stop
A very nice hotel located on the outskirts of Colmar with a resturant a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is in good order and check in was quick. The room was in good order and clean. Breakfast is a continental with enough selection. Parking is free and you can use the sister hotel next door if you want a drink. Overall a nice hotel and i would use again.

Good 2 star hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean but small. Breakfast was meh at best (very little selection) if it was included in room cost, sure have a coffee and pastry, but to pay, dont think so. My main point would be that a taxi to old town is 16euros each way. So actually although a hotel in the city is more exoensive, youll pay alot in taxi fare. Overall yjere isnt anything nad about this hotel though

Great value for money
We have stayed here several times. It's a good place to stay when travelling but too far from the historic centre if you are on holiday. It is a good budget hotel, great value and much better than an F1. The interior could do with an update as it has looked the same for 12 years now. Staff are helpful and you get a decent buffer breakfast

We absolutely loved Colmar and the Hôtel Roi Soleil proved a great combo of convenience with a short drive into town with savings on a relatively inexpensive hotel. Breakfast was included and was good to go before starting our day. All in all thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

There was no hot water in the AM to Shower. The woman at the front desk was unapologetic. We couldn’t take a shower that Morning after traveling from afar . We were not Impressed by the lack of service from the front Desk. No aplolgires for the inconvenience.

Consistantly Good Hotel Chain in Eastern France
This is a basic down to earth hotel reasonably priced and ideal for a nights stopover. The rooms are small but contain everything you need. Good bathroom with high powered shower. Breakfast adequate and good value.

Basic but good.
Basic accommodation in out of the way location means you have to drive everywhere. Not a big deal but makes it hard to be spontaneous. Breakfast restaurant was nice, typical continental breakfast. Larger restaurant within a short walk was good. Downside, very few people spoke English. Not a major issue but made communication difficult. Schoolboy French will only get you so far....

Very helpful staff
On arrival was greeted by a pleasant young man who was so very helpful. Room was very clean and quiet. The room was quiet even though we had a ground floor room.

Stop on way back to uk from italy
Ideal for what we wanted it for. No frills but just off main road and with own parking. A decent restaurant next door. We didn't take breakfast as we wanted an early start. Not much else in local area though - mainly industrial.

Functional overnight stop
The hotel is functional and ideal for an overnight stopover. Rooms and bathroom are small but air conditioned, clean and tidy. During our stay and other stays at this small chain hotels we have had no problems.

Good bargin hotel
If you are staying for a holiday the hotel is too far for walking into the historical centre. The hotel is very good value while still being comfortable and clean, we have used it often when travelling through France. There is not much choice for breakfast and only one steakhouse type restaurant nearby. Staff are really helpful.

Great value.
Very limited choice of restaurants within walking distance, you need to be able to drive into town as it is too far to walk for an evening. Friendly staff who could speak English which was really helpful as they couldn't find the booking at first. However price and standard of the hotel is good which is why we have stayed here many times now.

Clean hotel on an industrial estate and quite far out for walking into Colmar so not ideal if that is your plan. There are some restaurants close by they are the usual chains. Parking is good and secure. Rooms are small but I did not use it apart from somewhere to shower and sleep! Did not have breakfast as prefer decent coffee and a croissant at a cafe. If you are a Brit on a par with a travelodge I would say
