“Very impressed - Fantastic Flaine!”

Four of us booked for a self catering studio appartment in Flaine. The appartment was in the "Vega" block and access to the main shops and lifts was about 300m away. There have been comments about the architecture of Flaine and if you are expecting a quaint log-cabinned village then this is not for you. If you wish for convenient well planned out accomodation in a clean, quiet pedestrianed town with great views and access to the mountain then try Flaine! The appartment we had was on the 6th floor and was very comfortable with great views and a balcony. A large double sofa bed and two additional bunk beds in the entrance foyer to the flat. The kitchen area was a little small with just a 2 ring hob, microwave , fridge and d/washer. We could have done with an oven rather than the d/washer! Apparently (so a scottish lady told me) Flaine does not cater for school trips and although we went in half term there indeed was a lack of hoardes of school kids cluttering up the place! In fact we could not believe how empty the pistes were!. Off piste skiing was a REAL plus. It is not something that I have done much of before this trip, but we spent at least half the day off-piste every day. It was great.

Brilliant accomodation in Vega, very near slopes, shops and restaurants. Great value compared to other people in our party staying in other accomodation nearby.

“Arche appts Flaine - would definately go back!!”

We booked via Flaine Reservations, and ended up with a 2 bedroom appartment in Residence Arche in Flaine Foret. There was only 4 adults in our party, althhough appartments say they can sleep upto 8. 1 double bedroom with wardrobe and balcony, 1 bedroom with 2 sets on bunk beds *and little else, including no window). 1 bathroom, 1 separate loo, hallway and 1 large kitchen with table and lounge area with double sofa bed and 2 chairs and coffee table, flat screen tv and dvd. Was perfect for 4 adults, but many more than 4 there wouldnt be enough seats around table or in living area. However would def recommend, ski bus stop 1 min walk away and shops 3 min walk. Great views too!! Oh and a ski locker too
