“really very good, actually”

considering the usual chintzy shoe box hotel rooms generally on offer in upmarket alpine resorts this newly opened genuine 4 star hotel is a winner. chic in an open fire, white sandblasted, easy like a sunday loft apartment meets franz klammer sort of way, and you could still bring the kids who will appreciate the pool, jacuzzi and steam room. situated just out of town, the staff will drive you around with a shuttle but we splashed out one night when the depth of new snow made car travel erm... neigh on impossible and had a horse drawn carriage take us to dinner (try ferme de marie - expensive but worth it). what else? the staff are young and friendly and will do their best to please but no room service. they'll tell you it's because every room has a kitchenette but still. we had a suite which included a large sitting room, two bathrooms, kitchen/dining area and the bedroom. nicely if sparingly furnished. all good frankly. we had dinner in the hotel one night which was excellent but most people don't, so the ambience wasn't what it might have been. the chef deserves more support. as with megeve itself, not cheap but well worth it.

At last, high quality apartments in the alps. Highly recommended. The hot tub in the spa was broken during our stay. Apart from that, faultless.

“Fantastic place to stay”

The hotel is set up on a hillside with lovely views across the valley. It was only opened in the winter of 2007 so it is beautiful inside. The rooms are gorgeous. The pure white bed linen is better than I have at home, and in the bathroom you get robes and slippers, as well as toiletries from LOccitance (which cost a fortune in the shops!). We got upgraded to suite because it was quiet so the room was very spacious with a great little kitchen area, a nice sized lounge and a balcony. Megeve is quite expensive so it is good to be able to cook some meals. There is also a great indoor swimming pool, with jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, although the outdoor one was not open yet as it was not high season. Summing up, I could not fault the hotel or the service we received. Will definitely go back, probably go out of our way to stay again!

“Happy customers!”

We had a great stay at this hotel. It is perfectly positioned between megeve town and mont d'arbois ski station. The staff could not have been more helpful and proffessional. They were happy to organiose everything from ski passes, ski guides, taxis, restaurant bookings and even a doctor for my son who was taken ill during our stay. We will definately be returning next year.

“You need a car”

Great for a romantic stay, mountains and snow. The hotel does provide a shuttle to a nearby ski set off point but not in the evening into Megeve which is only a few mins away but vertically down and up - you need a car, the taxis are very expensive! Fortunately we had a car!It's a pity they did not place the bar higher as the views from the front of the hotel are spectacular - bar service is also v slow. But overall: great place, nice people and would go back.

Great hotel and really nice apartment but the only down side was that although it was a self catering apartment we was told that we would have to pay 40 euros extra per night to use the cooker ? They might only do this in the summer, but if they don't then it could cost alot more than you expect.

“High Standard Hotel”

Lovely hotel, very relaxing indoor and outdoor pool areas. Hotel staff were very helpful and polite. Bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. No kitchen cloths or teatowels, so if intending to cook at all take some with you. Only complaint would be the lack of atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, no customers obviously due to the extortionate drinks prices! Megeve itself is absolutely beautiful and you can find reasonably priced eating places and wine bars.

“skiing in Megeve”

Very nice hotel, superb view over Megeve, excellent suites with full facilities for self-catering- if required- large balconies. Cleaningness is superb, suites are visited twice daily. Staff very friendly and well-mannered, english speaking is a slight but not major problem. Transport from/to the hotel and various locations (town centre, telecabins) was provided and was very good on timing.Drivers were very very polite and pleasant. Restaurant was ok, nothing special but Megeve has so many restaurants, brasseries and cafes that eating hotel food was out of question. Overall, a very nice experience, definetely pricey but as we discovered Megeve is pricey generaly, equalling probably Chamonix or Courchevel in every aspect.
